QB's and the race factor

You're right, standing ten feet away isn't as good as the TV feed from geosynchronous orbit. :roll1:

The picture is the same regardless of the distance of transmission, Einstein. And you're a teacher? "Hey, Thump, why are you so close to the TV?" "Because the game is being played so far away I have to get closer to the TV to see better". :slappy:

Keep thinking you were "only ten feet away" from Troy Smith...

Do you think you get a more realistic impression of someone's height on TV versus seeing them in person?

Maybe if your ass would ever get to a game and actually see someone up close, you could speak on the issue.

Ask your buddy Terna, he'll tell you.

There's no reason for me to make it ( his height) up, I mentioned this in another thread a few months back.

Ask anyone else who went to the IU game this past year if you can't get to within 10 ft. of the players.

Hell, you can get to 1 or 2 feet but the people were about 8 deep along the fence.

When I was deep sea fishing the other day, I didn't catch anything. I think it was because I kept throwing the same bait out there over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

Maybe you were using a substandard reel? Try one of these...works every time

Hey, what do you know, Mili's puppy showed up to stick up for his master.

This has nothing to do with baiting, he's debating that I saw Troy Smith close enough in person to realize he's no 6'1.

If you have nothing to add, get the hell out of the thread.

BTW, don't you have some Raiders research to do.

Still with the same Raiders joke?

First of all, I'm anything but Mili's puppy. I disagree with him more than I agree with him. However, when the same guy says "you would know that if you had been to a game in person" about 900 times it gets a little tiresome.

But I guess you aren't clever enough to come up with more than 1 joke about a person at a time. I look forward to your pathetic "Raider research" joke the next time I point out your baiting.

Ha ha. You entertain me BN27, you really do.

For a 25 year old I have to give it to you, you're pretty tough to crack.

I'd almost think you were trying out for BP tough guy #2.

He and I were having a discussion. I didn't bring up the race and size issue.

So if someone who's never been to game claims to better be able to judge the height of a person on TV versus seeing them from 10 feet away, you wouldn't find a problem with that?

BTW, no one ever asked Mili to state that he's never been to a game.

Don't blame me for using his own words against him.

Maybe if I had lived closer than 4,500 miles to Columbus in the 31 years since joining the service, I would've had the chance. No problem, though...I'll personally say "Hi" to Troy before The Game this year.
