QB1 Julian Sayin (National Champion)

Fast Fact: Julian Sayin hasn't thrown a ball that has hit the ground in almost two weeks.

In fact, he hasn't thrown an uncatchable ball since the season has started! Could end up breaking every accuracy record OSU and the B1G has ever had considering his start. Consistency is now his major obstacle.

Former Michigan star has nothing but praise for Julian Sayin after two starts

Any sort of compliment from a former Michigan player seems like something that has to mean a lot.

Ohio State starting quarterback Julian Sayin now has two games under his career belt, one against the former No. 1 team in the country, and another against a team he easily should have run over. While Sayin looked a little shaky in his first start, he looked like a seasoned pro in his second start.

Against Grambling State, Sayin was 18-for-19 with 306 yards, four touchdowns, and just one interception. That is a big number to put up, especially with completing his first 18 passes of the game. Even former Michigan tight end Jake Butt had some nice things to say about the young quarterback’s performance.

“He has like an Olympic-archer level of accuracy, it's the ball placement," Butt said on Big Ten Network. "He has a back-shoulder fade touchdown to Carnell Tate down in the red zone that was like a hand-delivered package right up to his receiver.

Sayin has performed perfectly. Had the discipline to stay within the parameters that the coaches set for him against Texas (be good, but you don't need to be CJ good). Against an overwhelmed Grambling, he let loose a little bit and went 18-19 for 304 and 4TD. The coaches are bringing him along perfectly, and he is following the script perfectly. Ohio's "First And Forgotten" is next on his hitlist.

Also, like the Michigan Slayer number being used.

I think we all were so spoiled in having a veteran like Howard last year. That we forgot as a fanbase what freshman growing pains look like. Saying is in his 3rd start, and has a coach yelling at him to just look at #4 when in doubt which I’m sure is ringing in his head. I’m hoping that going forward he can go through his progressions more and possibly Inniss gets more touches as well as hitting Tate more as defenses start to key on Smith more

Julian is a savant when it comes to throwing the football. He has to clean a few things up, yes. Seeing the whole field down by the goal line and learning to eat it when necessary. But I sure am happy he's on our team. More than likely will put up over 4000 yards and nearly 40 tds by season's end, as a redshirt freshman.

Next test will be how he handles a hostile road environment.

I mean Howard wasn't really anything special until the playoffs. I'm extremely impressed with Sayin. Just some wonky plays tonight
