Well the troubles Terrelle caused for Ohio State was his fault. If he hadn't done what he did then there wouldn't have been a problem at all as far as he was concerned. It was his fault tOSU "dumped" him. It wasn't Tressels or anyone else's as far as his actions are concerned. sure the other players caused problems too and so did Tressels but you can't bloame them for his actions.
What he did, and is responsible for hurt us and went a long way for us having to give up an entire year on wins. Because of his star status he is even to be held more responsible, IMO.
I dislike him immensely and IMO he is not even a Buckeye, he just came to tOSU for his own gain and sacrifices tOSU for that gain. To Heck with Pryor.

It really pisses me off to have these kids, and coaches, come in here and wave the banner and then throw itin the mud without a second fault

TP screwed up. Tressel screwed up. Mike Adams screwed up. Boom Herron screwed up. There was a lot of that to go around.

Suffice it to say, but if TP doesn't go pro after being suspended, there's a chance Ohio State gets sanctioned much worse than they already have been. We just won't know and debating it over and over again every time the guy says something about the school seems rather silly at the moment.

Pryor himself agrees with some of what you said: "At the end of the day, I broke a rule, I learned from it, and I now understand that I can't do that type of stuff," he said, throwing in a reference to being "greedy, taking money. I learned quite a bit about not being selfish in those terms."

He seems to be be making progress as a person. He's still a Buckeye to me and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. People change. Look at Maurice Clarett now, compared to 2003-2004.

Kids aren't perfect. But the ones who work their asses off to play for Ohio State for scant compensation deserve better than this, even when they screw up (and Pryor definitely screwed up). I think Terrelle Pryor worked a lot harder in the interest of the Ohio State University than pretty much any fan here.

Interesting you say that, given what JT didn't do when he knew what was going on. As much as I would have and still would stand by the guy if he was the coach, JT made a bad situation involving Pryor et. al into a complete and utter fiasco that cost him his job and probably his coaching career.

QB Terrelle Pryor spoke to the media after Wednesday's practice as the Raiders get ready to head to Denver.

QB Terrelle Pryor: I’ll start off with a joke. They said, ‘Terrelle, you really are like Rudolph,’ because they say I run like a deer and then they looked at my nose right here and they said, you also have the red nose. Wasn’t that a good joke? (laughter)
Q: Terrelle, how has your confidence grown after playing two full games this season?

Pryor: How’s the confidence? I’m always a confident guy. I know time and time again I’m going to get better at my craft and get better at things in terms of footwork and accuracy and stuff like that. It’s an ongoing process and I want to get better, but I’m a confident guy nevertheless.

Q: How are you going to keep yourself settled, Terrelle, going into Monday Night Football, the biggest stage in football besides the playoffs and the Super Bowl and going against Peyton Manning?

Pryor: I just have to play my own game and Peyton’s great and I can’t let that get into mind. I have to play my game and focus on my team. He’s going to make big plays and I can’t go in there and say, ‘I’m going to fire back too, because he is.’ Down for down, one play at a time, and take my time and that will be a lot better than going in and trying to match back to back and force some things.

Q: Not to sound cliché at all, but is this something you’ve dreamed of, playing on a stage like this?

Pryor: I just dreamed of being in the NFL and being a starting NFL quarterback, and whatever the stage brought, it brought. I know right now I don’t want to get too excited about a stage or anything like that because at the end of the day, I still have to drop back and I have to help this team win. I don’t want to get too excited, I know it’s a big task against one of the greatest quarterbacks; he’s a Hall of Famer. I just have to go handle the business of my 1/11th of the offense and get us in good positions.

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie acknowledged Wednesday that he was surprised Terrelle Pryor beat out Matt Flynn to win the starting quarterback job.

"From a standpoint of taking this offense, what Olie (offensive coordinator Greg Olson) has done, yes," McKenzie said. "I mean, he's come in ... to compete and learn this offense, and he's taken it and he's done a good job. I'm pleased. Very pleased."

McKenzie spoke with seven Bay Area-based reporters at the team's headquarters in a half-hour roundtable chat and broached topics ranging from Pryor to team expectations to pending free agents to the need for the Raiders to get the ball more to playmaking fullback Marcel Reece.

The highlights, though, revolved around Pryor, whose work ethic has been uncanny.

"I'm going to give it all I've got until the wheels fall off," Pryor said earlier in the day.

Searching for win, Pryor not out to match Manning

DENVER -- Oakland quarterback Terrelle Pryor has seen the scores. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have put up 40-plus points in their first two games and made offense look easy.

As Pryor heads into his fourth NFL start when the Raiders play at Denver on Monday night, Pryor knows the temptation will be to put more on his shoulders, to try to match the Broncos score for score all by himself -- to try to out-Peyton Peyton.

In his short time in the league, Pryor already has figured out that's no way to approach this game.

"When you do that, you'll come up short because Peyton is a great quarterback," the third-year player said. "It reminds me of Tiger Woods, when his competitors were kind of going against him and they kind of folded because they pressed. I've got to stay away from doing that."

If the Raiders (1-1) are going to have any chance, it figures to come on the strength of their league-leading rushing offense (198.5 yards per game) and a defense that finished Week 2 tied for the NFL lead in sacks with nine.

Pryor, who won the starting job over offseason pickup Matt Flynn, had 162 yards rushing in the first two games -- most among quarterbacks in a league featuring Michael Vick, Colin Kaepernick and RG3 -- though he insists running is only a last option.

"I know if I have pressure and guys get in, that's when I think about running," said Pryor, a third-round selection in the 2011 supplemental draft, who goes down in history as the last pick made by Al Davis. "I'm not going to take hits, but if I have a pocket that's open and I know that I can set there and go through all my progressions, I'm going to do it. But if I can't, of course, I'm going to use my God-given ability."

Terrelle Pryor's winding road leads to Monday night

The football possibility of Terrelle Pryor has always been so tempting: a new-school talent capable of making even the oldest of football souls dream of what he was capable.

He was the last high school recruit that then 81-year old Penn State coach Joe Paterno traveled off campus to meet for a home visit (in January 2008). He was the last draft pick made by then 81-year-old Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis (third round of the 2011 supplemental draft).

Neither man is alive to see Pryor walk into Mile High Monday night. He will enter as a two-touchdown-plus underdog and a still developing quarterback with a shaky offense against the best-oiled machine in football.

For the first time in awhile, though, for the first time in what was expected to have occurred a long time ago, the eyes of football will be on him.

The likelihood the Raiders (1-1) shock the Denver Broncos (2-0) isn't particularly good. You never know, though. Far greater is the chance Pryor winds up impressing and reminding everyone why he was once the most coveted and intriguing high school athlete in America and one of college football's most explosive stars.

Pryor's career has been full of starts and stops, high points and forgettable stretches, immense praise and repeated "scandals."

On Monday – as it finally has been this season – it's about football and only football. And when it's about football, Pryor never doubts himself.

"How's the confidence?" Pryor said this past week. "I'm always a confident guy."
