QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Oakland?

Okay, well... I'm looking for some positives in all of this...

Umm
1. There is no Manning , Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers in the way. Of course he has a chance to play quarterback for the Raiders.
2. Puts a lot of miles between him and Ted S whatever his name is back in Jeannette.
3. He can pay off his 350Z now.
4. Like they do in baseball, he may be able to set a record for playing all 24 positions for his team in one game... WR, TE, LT, LG, C, etc...
5. When Jim Harbaugh gets fed up with Alex Smith, he can go across the Bay and work a trade for TP.
6. Bruce Hooley cannot afford to fly to Oakland to "report" on TP.

That's all I got. I wish him the best but let's just hope he can continue to work with Ken Anderson.

Well to try and find a positive, if you look at it from a blackjack card counting point of view what organization is more due to actually win once by employing their standard "hit on 20" draft strategy?

That's about all I've got. Unless random variance strikes in his favor I don't see this working out at all. He needed all the mentoring and stability he could get. Instead he went to the Raiders.

Ouch, very ouch.

I'm fed up with analysts saying "by using this pick, they give up their 3rd rounder of next year, and are hurting themselves for the future". Well WTF you think Pryor is being used for? Who do they think they are going to get in next year's 3rd that is as good? The draft is a gamble, just like everyhting else.

As someone who simply wishes Pryor a healthy career and nothing else (so tifwiw), I'm not going to feel sorry for him. He is fortunate to have been able to participate in the supplemental draft in the first place. He brought these circumstances upon himself and while I dont wish him ill, I think he ended up in a better spot than I think he really deserved after all the red flags that have come up over his career, both personal and the ability to be a successful NFL quarterback. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck Terrelle. I didnt agree with the decisions you made during your Freshman/Sophomore years off of the field but you were always playing your heart out on the field. I wish you the best of luck in the NFL and thereafter. Learn from your mistakes and remember how you were treated by James Tressel. Pay it forward someday and you'll be welcomed back eventually by the Buckeye Nation. That alone will guarantee you future success. God Bless.

I wrote a letter to Jim Tressel last week kind of saying the same things but much longer and with deeper emotion. I recieved a reply today. The man is one of a kind. I hope Terrelle keeps in contact with coach T and eventually all of this stuff goes away for all involved.

Where did you address the letter to?

For now, Pryor has good people around him. Say what you want about Rosenhaus; he is a pro and got Ken Anderson to work with TP and certainly improved his stock in the draft. Hopefully TP will keep the people around him that tell him the truth so that he can make the most of this opportunity.

Even though I am upset with the majority of his personal decisions, I truly wish him well and hope that he realizes just how lucky he is.

QB for now...

In comments to the media on Monday afternoon, Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson seemed pretty sure that Terrelle Pryor would be sticking at quarterback.
"The guy had a very storied career at Ohio State," Jackson said. "He can throw it, he can run with it. He's smart, he's tough, he's played in big games. He's another young athlete that we'll add to the mix that plays quarterback and we'll work with him and get this guy to be a good player."
