He's the least NFL ready college QB I've seen in some time.

I could understand the argument for better player but by no means would I call Newton a better QB. He will struggle running a pro style offense.
Newton's done pretty well adjusting to a pro-style offense in a little under 4 months so far, with a little under one of them being with his actual coaching staff...

If the Colts aren’t interested in former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, their scouting department didn’t get the memo.

Representatives of the Colts are present at Pryor’s Pro Day workout in Pittsburgh, according to a source on the scene. Also present are representatives of the Steelers, Redskins, Saints, Bucs, Cowboys, Chargers, Browns, Lions, Eagles, Raiders, Dolphins, Bills, 49ers, and Bengals.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin personally is present, as is former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel.

The Steelers are filming the workout, which will be sent to all teams, along with the results of Pryor’s physical.

The supplemental draft will be conducted on Monday.

UPDATE: The Chiefs and Patriots are there, too. Maybe it would have been easier to list the teams that aren’t there.

Pryor runs a fast 40

Our source at the Terrelle Pryor Pro Day says that Pryor ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds.

That?s not too shabby for a guy who is six-foot-five and weighs 230-plus pounds.

Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that one scout timed Pryor at 4.38 seconds.

He?s running on FieldTurf. Some players run their Pro Day 40-yard-dashes on a track, which obviously leads to faster results.

You didn't notice the #1 pick in this year's draft?

I'm not even close to a Cam Newton fan,but TP is still way out there. I seriously doubt there is an NFL team that would have even thought about taking TP over Newton if TP would have been in the draft. There's a reason for that, and it's not the NFL is biased against TP. The Newton draft pick was horrendous, but it still is what it is.

Manning has been in the league a long time, but one thing I've never really heard about him is what a great teacher he is. Maybe since he's never injured we've never been able to watch any of his backups, and he's never really had to mold anyone. Would be an interesting landing spot for TP, for sure.

:slappy:

It's not up to Manning to groom his successor when he's still got more than 5 years left in the league...

Beyond that, virtually none of the "greats" have been good at grooming any type of successive QB - usually the situation that works out is when the coaching staff gets a guy in place (Steve Young being a prime example) who knows the difference between his team's jersey colors and the other teams'.

4.34 40, if QB doesn't work out for him there's always tight end. I still say it's his ideal position. He could be a star for sure.

I'm not sure why you're laughing at me on this one. That was my reply to someone else who said learning from Manning would be a great fit for TP. I agree with what you're saying.

He was exploited by the Army also, but at least they paid him.

Children in third world countries who are forced to work in sweatshops are exploited. Little girls who are forced into prostitution are exploited.

Pat Tillman chose to join the Army. He was not exploited. Terrelle Pryor was given a full ride scholie and a stage to perform on at Ohio State. He was not exploited.

You and TP's attorney could use a dose of perspective.
