QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Terrelle Pryor, you may NOT have any contact with the university for the next five years.

This is more transparent than Jessica Alba's dress ...

I like it - Alba's dress and tOSU's attempt to free Pryor up for the supplemental draft. No one benefits by him having to sit around for a year. What's done is done, let him get on with his career.

I'm guessing you haven't actually been present at a CFL game. Enough Molson's is poured that no moniker would be more appropriate than "beer league."

Actually, I have been present at a CFL game. I probably could've used a better analogy in this case, but the notion that TP would "instantly" be the best player in the league is still blind homerism.

I'm guessing you haven't actually watched the CFL. It's not the NFL but it's not beer league flag football, either. I think you are greatly overestimating TP's development as a pro level QB at this point in time. Eventually perhaps, but "instantly" is just blind homerism.

I have watched it, but I suppose you can guess whatever you want. Also, it may as well be beer league flag football. I didn't mean he would be the best polished professional quarterback, I meant exactly what I said. He would be the best athlete in the league, instantly. I said he would be the best football player in the league, and I meant that. I will allow for the possibility that he would be only one of the two or three best football players in the league, and maybe not the best. I had originally typed "...and probably the best football player...", then remembered how bad Canadian football is and deleted the probably.

My point was that suggesting he wouldn't see the field because the season is already underway is silly, so long as it were a possibility within league rules. He would improve any CFL team that put him on the field, and he would draw fans.

And who says he would be a QB? If he pads up and wears extra socks I see no reason he can't be a running back. :wink2:

Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur doesn't rule out Browns submitting bid for Terrelle Pryor in supplemental draft

CLEVELAND -- With Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme set to be released on Thursday, will the Browns turn their attention to former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft?
Browns coach Pat Shurmur didn't completely rule it out during a press conference on Tuesday.
"We haven't finally discussed what's going to happen there yet,'' said Shurmur.
The NFL is still in the process of determining whether or not Pryor will be eligible for the supplemental draft, but it's more likely now that he's been ruled ineligible at Ohio State for 2011.
The Browns have done their due diligence on Pryor, a source said recently. Pryor has also received high marks from ESPN analyst and former NFL head coach Jon Gruden, a close friend and confidante of Mike Holmgren's. Gruden also highly recommended Colt McCoy to Holmgren last year.

Crowder discussed the subject during the debut of his new two-hour weekly talk show on WQAM radio
in Miami. "I'll say hypothetically I don't have any more of my Florida jerseys," Crowder said Sunday. "There
were some Jacksonville businessmen that really hypothetically liked my play."

Crowder expressed support for quarterback Terrelle Pryor in connection with the scandal at Ohio State.
Pryor left the program and coach Jim Tressel resigned amid an NCAA investigation into players' trading of
signed equipment, championship rings and other memorabilia to a tattoo-shop owner for cash and discounted tattoos.

"I'll know why Tressel got in trouble -- he was lying," Crowder told listeners. "But Pryor can't sell his stuff? It's his."
Don't know where else to put this one

Probably needs to go someplace that needs a Wildcat QB. I would be intrigued by him as a jump ball WR in the red zone or any situation where he doesn't need to go over the middle. I don't see him ever being a starting QB in the NFL.

A ruling about Sarniak back in 2008 was deemed to be newsworthy.

Mentor of ex-Ohio State QB Pryor cleared of '08 allegations

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The mentor for former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor was investigated and cleared by the NCAA in 2008 of allegations that he improperly acted as a booster while helping the player pick a college.

Records released Friday show the NCAA ruled in favor of Ted Sarniak, a hometown friend who went with Pryor on several recruiting visits.

However, Sarniak was told to he could no longer provide money, meals, tickets, presents or a cell phone to Pryor.

Cont'd ...
