QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I may well eat those words in a couple of years, but I don't like his throwing motion; reminded me of Vince Young. I don't think he has the touch on his passing game. I think he's fighting against "we've-never-done-it-that-way" among pro coaches who insist on drop back passers. I don't think they've made the mobile QB who can last a season in the NFL.

I didn't like Vince Young's head. Reminded me of Ryan Leaf.

Can Pryor make catches over the middle knowing that Lewis, Reed and Polamalu are lurking there ?

He isn't going up against Blake Gideon in the NFL, who is among the least respected Longhorns to ever start for Texas, at least in terms of their fans.

He has the raw tools, but the reason he never became Vince or Cam was his lack of physicality. Unless they keep transforming the NFL into flag football with hit restriction tions, there are a lot of question marks for Terrelle as a WR.

I'm hopeful this was with understanding on both sides. It certainly makes his case for the Supplemental Draft pretty clear.

TP banned from Ohio State for 5 years. :(

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State made it official on Tuesday that former Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor could not have played at any time during the 2011 season and also banned him from any contact with the school's athletic program for the next five years.

Ending speculation that Pryor had not met the NFL's requirements for a supplemental draft, Pryor's lawyer sought and received a letter from Ohio State stating that he would not have been eligible even after his five-game suspension to start the season. Because he also failed to cooperate with the NCAA in its investigation of improper benefits given to Ohio State players - which led to the forced resignation of coach Jim Tressel - Pryor was told he was "completely disassociated'' from the program where he starred for three seasons.

Letter from Gene Smith does express appreciation for Pryor's willingness to cooperate with NCAA in past, provide "certain financial records"

I'll say, individually, Tressel and Pryor made mistakes and in the end, they both did their best to keep damages to solely themselves and I think that says a lot about their feelings towards the university.

As this thing passes, I do hope TP is able to be embraced again by the University.

If Terrelle was guilty of any of the other stuff he was accused of, he could've easily told the NCAA on his way out or after. Sounds to me like he kept his mouth shut to protect tOSU and now he's paying for it. I mean...he wouldn't have played anyway, so he'd have paid anyway...but...he possibly could've talked...and if by not talking he saved the program any further sanctions...then I thank him.

Maybe in Pryor's freshman season when he had that sidearm ass delivery... Young kept that all the way through his RS Junior year and never worked on it until before the draft.

The difference between Terrelle's throwing motion in college compared to Vince is night and day IMHO.

Terrelle Pryor, you may NOT have any contact with the university for the next five years.

Whenever I hear complaints about throwing motion, I think about Philip Rivers, Steve Young, Johnny Unitas and Fran Tarkenton. Their throwing motions all sucked.

Ultimately, who gives a shit if the ball gets there in time, in the right place? The motion that got it there means fuck-all.

The CFL is already a month into its season, so it is highly unlikely he'd play at all.

The UFL, on the other hand, starts in the fall and they need to sell tickets. Maybe he could end up on MoC's team?

I'm not up on the CFL's rules for acquiring rights to a player, but I'd bet if one of the teams could sign him he would be on the field the next game. He would instantly be the best athlete, and best football player, in the entire league.

I'm guessing you haven't actually watched the CFL. It's not the NFL but it's not beer league flag football, either. I think you are greatly overestimating TP's development as a pro level QB at this point in time. Eventually perhaps, but "instantly" is just blind homerism.
