Here are the receivers likely to join you at tOSU, should you choose to matriculate with them:

WR Cordale Scott - 6' 3", 197, 4.46
WR DeVier Posey - 6' 3", 180, 4.5
WR/FL Lamaar Thomas - 5' 11", 175, 4.4
TE Kevin Koger - 6' 4", 235, 4.7
TE/HB Jake Stoneburner - 6' 5", 215, 4.53

That's 20 stars |********************| and counting. There are a couple of other guys who might want in as well, so the total could go as high as 29 |*****************************|. Those would be your receiving targets from among your own recruiting class, not to mention the guys already at tOSU and the younger guys who'll arrive while you're there.

You shouldn't have much trouble finding guys to catch your passes. Or to help you win some NCs and, of course, your Heisman.

PS - There'll also be a pretty good group on the O-Line to block for you.

TP can also consider that, if varsity hoops becomes too much, this will be a NASTY intramural team in the offseasons. Add the Block O for an inside presence, and this team might not lose a game from freshman to senior year.

I have always heard that it's something that can be corrected. Not much of a problem in high school, but when you start winning heisman's in college, all the girls want to know whether or not you are married. I can see how it may be a hindrance, in the worst case scenario....

Hell, maybe I've drank too much....or is it dranken, or drunken....Lord knows what it is.... but let's keep that incomplete talk scarce around here....I'm sure by now Terrelle knows his "prospective" receivers ain't about to start dropping passes now :biggrin:

I think Florida is going to be a huge player. Even if it is far away, they are still going to be a huge player. I don't really think Penn state is a huge player. USC could be a little trouble. They are getting OJ Mayo this year, so he will probably put USC on the map for basketball, so they should have a good season in both sports this year. I kinda think we have to have a great football season with an open offense for him to come here.

Oh boy. I can't wait until December/January. I love where we sit with TP, but we do indeed have some serious competition. WVU is becoming a very legitimate football power and their basketball program, though not elite, has been pretty solid recently. Rich-Rod also runs an offense that would fit pryor to a tee. Never count out PSU either. They always seem to get their share of recruits. With JT, Matta and the Brew-Crew all in his ear though, we couldn't be in a better position. Just for a little perspective, we also have a young QB in Antonio Henton that everybody was salivating over before the Pryor-mania kicked in, not to mention Robby. It's gonna be a roller coaster, but I like our chances.

A recruit doesn't just choose the school that is the best at the time. First, recruits know that things change, and WV is definitely getting better (a LOT better).
And more importantly, they decide which system they will fit into best. It's not as though Pryor would fit badly with tOSU's system- quite the contrary- but WV is known for their extensive use of the spread offense, and Pryor might feel like WV is the perfect fit. It's very possible. Don't count them out.

I will post this because I think it does relate to the argument on Pryor, but I am not sold that WVU is yet ready to be taken seriously.

The football world is littered with also-ran programs that had very nice 2 or 3 year runs, then returned to mediocrity. Rodriquez fell into it with White (#53 QB recruit) and Slaton (#54 RB recruit). Without them they are still looking for a their first top 10 ranking in the past 15 years or so. Solid - yes. Elite or near elite? They are a long way from proving their case.

As for recruiting, they have one serious recruit so far this season - and his name is Josh Jenkins.

Pryor can go to WVU and help take them to that next level while practicing against a second tier D on a daily basis, or he can go to a major program, compete for his job, and develop into an NFL caliber QB.
