His comments, and the Michael Vick eye patch made me cringe. But a 5 Game suspension seems like an appropriate punishment for the NCAA violations for which he has been found guilty.
Perhaps the media persecution, his coach losing his job, and the belittling from some OSU Legends will serve as a last chance wake up call. His apologies since the violations were announced, may not have seemed sincere, but he took every opportunity to apologize, and he did not flee to the NFL. His play in the Sugar Bowl, to me, seemed a little more passionate and committed. He was running with more power and aggression than he had before.
If we get that player back, and if his teammates welcome him back -- I hope he starts against Nebraska, and I will cheer for him and the team.
