QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

We should be able to run any kind of fake that has ever been ran. If it's a question of personnel, we have a player for any stereotype that you can come up with! TP has played 2 college games, and I would already rate his ball fake up there with the best of them. BTN camera guys included.
OH BY THE WAY...HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO! Why aren't you out getting drunk? Is that tomorow night's plan?

General, usually reading your posts I always tend to agree with you, except for this one. Sure, TB looked pretty good against UW and Penn State, those were during the 1st half of the season. The second half, he played poorly against Illinois, poorly against scUM (although we got a win, plus the weather but Henne played in the same weather and didn't bobble the ball from a snap) and played poorly against LSU. To open the season, he played decent against YSU and alright vs Ohio, we need Todd's A game vs USC, that's where I think TP can be a difference maker in the game. Using TP in the "Pistol" formation, or even the shotgun and running a straight QB draw up the middle is a guarantee 3-4 yard gain. Possibly even a huge gain if read properly and a hole is there. That definately opens up the playbook for our recievers to get some seperation and TB to throw while calm. TP, I think absolutely can be the biggest difference in this game and the season.

I knew I was going to have someone point that out. Yes, TB played poorly against, Ill, probably his worst game of the season. Ill played the best defensive game of their season, and got some help from the refs. Not to beat a dead horse, but if the refs had not given Ill a gift TD off the fumble, the whole game would have had a different complexion. Ill did do a great job of stopping the run, and V. Davis is one of the best DBs in the country. The UM game was definitely affected by the weather (Beanie fell on his ass, too), and we won without needing TB. I don't think TB really had a bad game against LSU (2 TDs, Robo should have held on to another, Small should have prevented 1 of the 2 INTs, the O-line did him no favors on the 5 sacks, his fumble should have been negated by a personal foul), but he could have done better. But, all things considered, TP is an unproven commodity. Yes, he is an immense talent. But, he has never faced a D that compares to USC's. It's a big question mark at this point. He could have a big game, but, with any freshman player, there is an equal chance that he could cough up the ball at any time. Who can tell at this point? I would prefer to believe that we can beat USC without TP playing a down. If TP tears it up, I will be jumping up and down like a fool, but I don't want to stake the game on it.

What about the 3 you forgot to mention Illinois, Michigan and LSU. And USC should not be confused with Penn State and Washington.

This marks the third time I've resisted the urge to ding you for talking shit about the Buckeyes. If you are going to have buckeye4ever as your usename, show some support. I didn't forget about the games that TB did not look good in. More importantly, I did not forget that ILL was one of Beanie's worst games of the season, and that the whole team failed to put their best foot forward in the two losses.

I am not convinced TP is going to have any impact on this game. The thought of having a Freshman QB out there vs USC D is not a pleasent thought. Plus the plays that he has ran to date are not going to scare USC in the slightest.

We will see, but I personally do not think TP plays a big role positive or negative in this game.

love that play! that's the one they used to throw to santanio all the time right? i think they scored twice on it in one game against MSU.

Yes I believe it was thrown to mostly him, but I think Ginn was involve and Gonzo was also involved in 06.

I still think TP plays a decent amount in this game. And I think coaches quote from this past weekends game confirms this. "When would you like his first pressure to be?"

While it would be cool to see TP come out and be the conquering hero and vanquish the Trojans, I would have to agree with those who have said they're not sure if he is ready, or if the staff feels like he is ready. While I like to put JT on a pedestal and claim him a genius, and think he has just been game planning all season using TP sparingly and with vanilla play calling, it would surprise me if he uses TP that much in this game, unless the situation is perfect (have a lead and get the ball on the Trojans end of the field)

I just think if JT and staff were that comfortable with him in pressure packed situations we would have seen him more against the Bobcats. Bolman's comments about putting TP in a pressure filled situation would seem to back this up. I think he will be great at some time (sooner rather than later) I just don't think he's there yet.

Hope to be eating crow and being called an idiot at this time next week (for reasons of this post not for anything else stupid I may have done :paranoid:)

And JT's retort to those comments destroy that notion.

Not sure being up five against OU is quite the same pressure as he might be under against USC, once again though, I hope I'm wrong and he comes out and gashes the Trojans through the air and on the ground, just saying, I'm not convinced he gets that many opportunities this week.

I'm sure his playing time will be directly related to how successful he is when he's in there. The thing I like about TP is one missed tackle and he could be off to the races.

:osu:

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised to see Both Todd and Terrelle on the field at the same time. You never know what's going to happen.

CAN'T WAIT FOR SATURDAY!!!

Unless one is passing the other on their way to the sidelines. I would be very surprised to see those two on the field at the same time. I'd probably shit myself...and not in a good way.
