Seton-La Salle football coach Greg Perry stood outside his team's locker room at Jeannette's McKee Stadium on Friday night and shook his head.
"We didn't tackle him in August and we didn't tackle him in November. That's why he's going to visit Ohio State tomorrow," Perry said with a wry smile. "And when we come back here in August, he better not be here."

He, of course, was the Jayhawks' Terrelle Pryor, the No. 1 high school recruit in the country.

Pryor wasn't a one-man wrecking crew in his team's 49-7 opening-round rout of the Rebels, but his imprint was all over the Jayhawks' 10th straight victory that included the mercy rule being implemented in the second half.

Pryor's night?

He rushed 10 times for 159 yards, completed all three of the passes he attempted for 84 yards and picked off a pass in the end zone as the first half ended.

"He's impressive, obviously," Perry said. "But he's got a great team around him. You come into a game against a team like this and you know you can't make mistakes. We did that and we don't have the playmakers that they do."

Pryor coming to town
The nation's No. 1 prospect, quarterback Terrelle Pryor of Jeannette, Pa., makes an official visit today. Also expected are two other undecided blue-chippers, defensive tackles Willie Mobley of Eden Prarie, Minn., and Brandon Thompson of Thomasville, Ga.

They will be joined by offensive linemen Michael Brewster of Orlando, Fla., and J.B. Shugarts of Klein, Texas, who both committed in the spring.

"It's an absolutely huge weekend, because not only is the nation's top prospect going to be in town, but so are two of the better defensive linemen, and one of the remaining priorities for this class is to land at least one more defensive lineman," recruiting analyst Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts.com said.

Bringing recruits in to experience the game-day atmosphere has many pluses, Tressel said.

"We want them to feel the energy of our campus," he said. "And we want them to get to know who we are as much as they can, and spend as much time as they can around our players. When you bring people to your campus officially or unofficially, to me the key is getting them with our guys."

Just got back from the game. That crowd was anything but dead. Even when we were down early in the 2nd half, the crowd was still chanting "Let's go Bucks!" This crowd was 100% behind their Buckeyes from the first whistle and even though this was far from being a blowout, those recruits had to be impressed.

I loved watching Boeckman running the ball today. Pryor had to take note of that. He can add an entire new demension to this offense. I mean, can you imagine us running the occasional option with Pryor, Beanie, & Saine in the backfield at the same time? Insane.

Pryor is the perfect leader for this offense. The sky is the limit with him.

You mean offense :wink2:.

The best part about watching TB run is that it is clearly not the first option. When he scrambles out of trouble, tucks it and runs, it seems like it's always a 3rd and 5 conversion that just breaks the defense's back. It's poetry in motion, then to have a monster that size automatically fall forward every time, and it's trouble for the opponent's psyche.

OK that is GREAT new to me then. it really did seem dead for nearly the whole game, kinda got me a wee bit worried.

South stands chanted "Pryor" at end of game right before "Carmen Ohio". Before the game, I watched Pryor walk with J. B. Shugarts over to Skull Session right before the team. Watched Brewster catch up with him in the stadium before game. Also saw Stoneburner, Torrence, Adams, (I think Sweat) meet up and they sat on the 50 yard line. I noticed after second half that Mobley was there and it looked like Posey was there. I kept looking for Thompson, but didn't see him [I assume he was there, I just didn't see him]. It was a perfect recruiting experience from our perspective - good weather and crowd. There were some past players there - Teddy Ginn, Cris Carter, Big Daddy.
