I realize your new and I'm not going to be a prick...there are over 100 pages in this thread but on the last couple of pages it has been posted numerous times that Pryor is in contact with Floyd, Thomas, Brewster, etc. In fact, it's mentioned throughout the whole thread and the post before yours, so from now on just look through the thread before posting. I realize there are a ton of pages in this particular thread but more times than not the question you have has been answered. No prob though and welcome to the board! :osu:

This class is very odd in that our cornerstones are the big hog mollies up front who are attracting all the skill position players to them. Also add in the fact that while Terrelle is not listed anywhere as a commit for OSU (and i am not saying he has secretly committed), you hear about him talking with other OSU targets ALL the time. Terrelle has mentioned kids like L Thomas and M Floyd on numerous occasions. While it has not been said publicly (at least not to my knowledge), i am sure those kids whom Pryor regularly speaks know where his likely destinitation is...and it makes me smile.

Yes :biggrin:, and welcome to the board. He has been in touch with plenty big time recuits and was even said to be talking to Texas WR Jeff Fuller, before he committed to Oklahoma.

He's asking if Terrelle talks to kids who have committed to other schools besides Ohio State.

Oh then my mistake...just read weird. As far as other schools commits I have heard no reports of that. In fact, most schools conceed Pryor to OSU because they know he is exclusively in contact with our commits or targets it seems.

First off, this is one of the most informative tOSU sites I've ever seen, and I don't mean to step on any toes with this statement, but I've read a couple of posts from people saying that Pryor should be played at a different position other than QB. I thought that if we got this kid Tressel would coach into a mobile QB, but he would be solely a QB. And why do some sites have this kid as an ATH and not a QB? When I think of an ATH I think of Will Hill from NJ, who plays: QB, RB, WR, DB, PR and KR. Pryor is a QB and plays DB because his team needs him there, but I thought his future was at QB.

Pryor has the athleticism to play WR, DE, TE, perhaps more... in addition to QB. He is not a refined QB at this point, and dominates the competition more as an athlete than a pure QB. That does not mean he cannot develop into one, but it is an accurate description for now.

Some are skeptical of his development, others merely realize his potential in addition to QB.

That being said, many have noted here and in other places that Terrelle improved as a QB from his junior to senior seasons. He also has many of the necessary tools: prototypical height, good arm strength, good vision, (seemingly) strong leadership skills on the field, etc. His freakish athletic upside takes him from being a good QB prospect to being the #1 prospect in the nation with tremendous upside at QB.

It seems as though Terrelle is only playing a quarter or two in most of his games (as the team rolls through the competition). While Terrelle looks spectacular, is anyone concerned that his development is being hampered? This is a question, not a concern, as I don't know him or the situation well enough to analyze properly.

There's concerns for every recruit, I think he may need a little endurance but odds are he will sit for a year anyways, playing on the practice team and getting used to the system he should develop fine.

Senior quarterback Terrelle Pryor was completed 4-of-4 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns in addition to four carries for 20 yards and another score. Pryor could have had another late in the second half, but after clearing the line of scrimmage and with an uncontested lane to the end zone, he pitched the ball back to Vaughan, who scored.

Pryor also had a strong game defensively, with a sack, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. His play helped pace a defensive effort that limited Carlynton (0-7) to as many yards (3) as fumbles lost in the first half.

Doesn't sound like Pryor's coach is a big fan of the PSU offense

Joe Paterno's offense has yet to shed the run-oriented label.

"Kids perceive that as boring," said Ray Reitz, coach of the Jeannette (Pa.) High School football team, which is quarterbacked by Terrelle Pryor, the No. 1 recruit in the country, according to Rivals.com. "For example, you don't play Michigan with the I-formation. You watch Appalachian State and you watch Oregon beat them with the spread and [Penn State] goes up and plays the I. On the same token, though, you have to play what you do."

The "spread" -- a style that features multiple wideouts with a pass happy and multi-talented quarterback -- is the type of offense Reitz runs with Pryor. It's an approach not traditionally associated with Penn State.

"I respect Penn State but their philosophy and what we do is totally on the other end of the spectrum," Reitz said. "That I-formation is a tough run. Southern Cal does it, but they're getting the best players in the country. If you spread teams out and make them guard you in space, I don't know many people can touch you."
