It's odd, all the talking heads claim Braxton is a far, far better passer than Pryor was it this same stage.:)

This is a lesson for the kids at home for why you shouldn't jump to conclusions, let alone pidgeon-hole a player, after watching one game, such as the nationally televised one against Moeller.

Unlike Pryor? :lol: TP didn't even know how to do a 3 & 5 step drop in the Dec 07 Army practices. He was the epitome of a raw runner and beat his lousy HS competition by about 50 per game.

Miller is more polished as a passer than Pryor was at this point.

I'll trust the coaches anyways..

Well unfortunately in order to be a complete QB, one must learn to effective pass the ball as well. Vince Young had to do it, Pat White did it (although with less frequency) Pryor is gorwing into it and so will/must young Braxton.

Miller has a lot going for him as a passer, to be certain. His mechanics are light years ahead of Pryor's at the same stage. It's impressive that Miller is as good a passer as he is, really, considering his HS coach is the same one who groomed Steve Bellisari into the fine passer he was coming out of HS.

I realize all of the negative connotations that come from this comparison, but when I watch Braxton it just brings me back to Mike Vick every single time. The electrifying running ability, the blazing speed, the moves, the laser of an arm, all brings me back to when #7 was playing for VT or when he was suiting up in Atlanta.

One of the most impressive throws he had in my mind was on a 3rd down, the 3 tech busted right through and actually got ahold of his jersey, but he got away from it and with a flick of his wrist threw an absolute laser to the sidelines for a first down.

He reminds me more of a Pat White with more passing ability. I think his build (height/weight) is pretty similar to White as well.

Regardless, I think we all realize that he'll have work to do when he gets on campus and our coaches will help him utilize his amazing God-given abilities.

He could be very special. :wink2:
