"Music and cannon fire" is what I will type from now on. I've always wondered what Chic running with the ball looked like. Now I know.

Back at Big Ten Media Days in July, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer smiled when he was asked about the potential of the Buckeyes' offense with Braxton Miller in his new role and how he planned to use him.

"For a guy that sits and doodles all day long like a child, it’s pretty exciting," Meyer said.

And through two games so far this season, Ohio State fans have seen Miller be used in a variety of ways. He's caught passes at wide receiver, run out of the Wildcat and taken handoffs from the Buckeye quarterbacks.

"It's usually a double-digit number and then see how the game is going and see how his body is feeling and his demeanor," Meyer said Wednesday when he was asked how many touches he'd like to get Miller each game. "You can tell when a guy's hot. That's why I love to be on the sideline. Got that fire. Sometimes he does it. That's how we determine that."

But there's one way Meyer hasn't used his new toy yet. He hasn't asked his former quarterback to throw the ball.

That may be coming soon.

"Yes," Meyer said when asked if Miller could throw. When a reporter asked if Miller was getting close to doing it in a game, Meyer simply shrugged, smiled, then said, "You think I'm going to tell you that?"

Amazing first game and he's gone into hibernation the past 3. Not a big deal with the emergence of all the other playmakers, but the coaches need to find more creative ways to get him involved in the game rather than just forcing direct snaps to him that are averaging 2 yards per play.

Like the previous posters have stated, we have got to get more creative to get Miller the ball. It almost seems like they're forcing him the ball trying to get another big play like in the VT game. Anyone watching an OSU game this season, when Braxton lines up at QB we all know he goes to run it, it's the worst secret in CFB so far. I wish they would keep him at HB and get better at blocking and catching before getting cute, I'm sure it would help Cardale as well at QB. Hit Braxton on slants or screens and get him in space

Until he demonstrates that the throw is an option teams will sell out to contain him between the tackles. If it's going to be a designed run he should instead run the read-option with Zeke or receive an option give from Cardale. At least keeping Cardale behind center prevents the defense from keying on Braxton.

Most of the Braxton-at-Wildcat looks this season have been pretty underwhelming.

Heaven forbid they actually pitch him the ball in motion and ask him to beat 1-3 defenders on the edge (and watch the defense race out of position trying to cover for that). Yep, they're better off surrounding him with 15+ bodies and seeing if he can dance around all of them.
