QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

C'mon, man. Most of us waste at least 4 minutes an hour just staring out the window. Or at a computer screen, which I'm sure you can relate to.

The next time I'm going to waste 4 minutes of my life can you let me know ahead of time? Mmmmkay thanks.

Can't say I had seen it. Have to admit I've really just filtered out what paid "experts" have to say for a couple seasons now. If it's a total fluff piece, I'll just delete it. They emailed it, didn't think it was worth a new thread or article. This is me shrugging.

@LordJeffBuck maybe a topic for you...if this news is true.

Once again Ohio State is robbed of a potential superstar earlier than expected. Back to back QB's that were primed to make their way into Buckeye lore that never got their senior season. Add in the shocking turns for MoC and Cris Carter and Buckeye fans have unexpectedly faced the end of some great players' careers prematurely, without knowing it was their last moment.
Terrelle Pryor and Braxton Miller are arguably the two greatest quarterbacks in Ohio State history, and two of the top twenty players regardless of position. Certainly, they are/were the two most productive Buckeye offensive players ever:

Pryor: 2,164 yards rushing (#19 at tOSU); 6,177 yards passing (#5 at tOSU); 8,365 total yards (#2 at tOSU); 214.5 total yards per game (#2 at tOSU); 76 total TD's (#3 at tOSU); 1.95 total TD's per game (#2 at tOSU)

Miller: 3,054 yards rushing (#8 at tOSU); 5,292 yards passing (#8 at tOSU); 8,346 total yards (#3 at tOSU); 231.8 total yards per game (#1 at tOSU); 84 total TD's (#2 at tOSU); 2.33 total TD's per game (#1 at tOSU)

There was a decent chance that each player would have eclipsed 12,000 total yards and 120 total touchdowns during his career, if he had played as a senior (but see below). In any event, Pryor would have re-written the Ohio State record book, and Miller would have re-written it again.

Pryor's record as a Buckeye was 33-6, and his record as the primary QB was 31-5, including 3-0 versus Michigan and 2-1 in BCS bowl games.

Miller's record as a Buckeye was 30-9 (although he missed three games), and his record as the primary quarterback was 26-8, including 2-1 versus Michigan, but 0-2 in bowl games, and 0-1 in Big Ten title games.

Awful to think we may have seen the last of those jukes, laser passes and breathtaking plays of Braxton in a Buckeye uniform.
Just a guess, and an extremely early one at that, but I think that Braxton will return for 2015. I don't know that he'll have much of a choice at this point. In three years at Ohio State, he has proven three things: (1) that he is one of the most dynamic players in college football; (2) that he has problems with mechanics and decision making; and (3) that he is injury-prone. If Braxton returns for the 2015 season, he risks further injury. But what is Braxton's future in the NFL right now? He is not an NFL-caliber QB, and he is not durable enough to play running back. Is he a kick/punt returner? Whatever he is, he is probably un-drafted, and not in line for much of a payday. So I don't see much risk in returning to Ohio State, where he can prove that he is capable of making NFL throws, and show the NFL that he can stay healthy.

I am taking Braxton at his word. He has always struck me as a well grounded individual who sees the bigger picture. Credit goes to his family for raising him with the right principles. A degree and a year of grad school is Troy Smith territory. Regardless of what happens with JT Barrett this is Braxton's team. True Buckeye.

I agree. I think the fact that came out and said it so quickly speaks volumes. I dont know if he'll get hurt again or whatever, but I know that chad pennington came back two or three times and was a starter in the NFL, and Drew B. won a bowl. He'll have yet another year to study and mature more .... yeah, he still has a chance.
