QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

which means that Manziel put up a lot of his numbers against some pretty awful teams...

also, i must correct myself. Manziel is 1-2 against bowl teams. LaTech no longer counts.

Can this be right? How does an SEC team play against only 3 other teams that are going to a bowl game? Or did Manziel not play in all of A&M's games?

That's because LV is wrong.

Not only was LA Tech a good win for aTm, he also played bowl teams like SMU, Miss State, LSU, Bama, Florida and Ole Miss.

He threw the ball 400 times this year, the stats are legit.

How do we veer so far from [/strike]Braxton Miller[/strike] anything in [strike]his[/strike] any thread? :tongue2:

FIFY

I think it's relevant - we're discussing the probable 2012 Heisman winner and Brax is clearly a Heisman favorite going into next year.

After watching the circus that happened after Troy Smith won and its effect on Ohio State's preparation for the NC game, I don't care if Braxton Miller ever gets the Heisman.

The Heisman award was a real distraction for Smith and the team. He was away from the team for a couple of weeks afterwards on sponsored trips and the like, if I recall correctly. Several BP posters close to the program were asking where he was and why the Buckeyes were not preparing more. I blame the Heisman for Ohio State's lack of preparation and blow-out loss.

Miller is a very talented young man. I'm really looking forward to his performance next year when he takes another step up. However, he had a few games in which he really showed some opportunities to improve.

He's clearly not the winner this year and I would much rather that he not get dazzled by the lights of the circus.

Young man, take that step up, lead your team to a NC and that trophy will be yours. When the circus comes to town, turn down the parade until after you win that NC game.
