QB/WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion, OSU HOF)

If Bama is offering as a QB, which I assume they are, that is saying a lot about what they think of his arm. Nick Saban likes Pro-Style QB's for his pro-style offense. I think Ohio State is going to be in a battle for Braxton's services...which is why I'm happy Cordale Jones has popped up.

Braxton will get his offers, but I don't see anyone pulling him from OSU...all Buckeye.

Agreed. Offers are a good thing, It validates the player evaluation process. I'm a little stunned that Cordale Jones only has one offer at this point (BG). I guess coaches know who can play.

I wouldn't look too deeply in that for Jones. Not alot of tape on him and he was injured this year. He improved rapidly throughout the year and after the summer circuit, his offers will pile up.

Always glad to see a school like Bama offer these guys, esp. a LB like Depriest. Braxton has earned all that comes to him and his intangibles like leadership are a huge bonus to him imo.

As a Buckeye fan, I hate seeing schools like Alabama and Florida entering the recruiting seen up here in Ohio. Just makes it harder on us to land our own home state guys.

I would be stoked if we could bring in both Braxton and the Glenville guy. At this point, I'm a little bit more impressed with the Glenville guy, but Braxton is such a stellar athlete, he could see the field early at receiver if they needed him there.

Just like it's hard for us to get a kid from Bama or FL to choose us over those in-state schools, it's even harder for those schools to come up here and get these caliber of guys.

Have you seen the fence around here? It's so high, Wilson can't even see over it.

How important do you think Pryor's (and the offense as a whole) development in the bowl game and next year is to a highly talented and exciting player like Braxton. Realistically speaking there are a few other school that can offer him the same thing as osu, along with a possibly a more exciting offense.

Ohio state is still the right choice Tress will return to Troy Smith offense soon in my opinion and that will only help.

I just ran the numbers....

From 2002 to 2009, Ohio State offered 123 in-state prospects and signed 98, for a success rate of 79.7%.

When looking at just top-5 in-state prospects, Ohio State offered 35 and signed 25, for a success rate of 71.4%.

Those numbers could fall after the 2010 class is signed, as Ohio State has already "lost" Ware, Heard, Hendrix, and Welch, and may lose Hicks and James.

It's a nice fence, but certainly not impregnable.

But how many headed south to an SEC or ACC school?

I would think most of those kids went to scUM or Notre Dame.
