Did anyone else notice that Troy's interceptions were the first pass attempt of each half? Starting both halves that way probably had an effect on the entire offense.

can't speak to the second int, can't remember. but troy hit robo for a first down just before throwing his first pick in the overthrow to ginn...

Troy Smith is absolutely amazing. He's the real deal. He just trows darts all over the field and looks amazing when he makes people miss with his ankle breaking jukes. Can't wait to see him tomorrow when he destroys Iowa at Kinnick.

the irony of this is that michigan has been beaten twice by troy's ability to scramble and create off the run. going into this year's game, scum is likely going to be forced to consider his arm as his sole threat. what i see happening is -- and this is a long time from now -- troy, if i may, flipping the script on scum and burning them for the third time in the same way. what a brutal slap in the face that would be. they know that they've been beaten twice by his legs; however, they've seen him play the whole season in or laterally out of the pocket. they prepare for that. then they witness the third edition.

there's a word for it: hornswoggled.
i think the word for it is "Tresseled."

Last week I said that I expected Troy's 3rd down efficiency would improve this week. The number improved 14.25 points in one game. *toot-toot*

Through 5 games:

...................comp....att....yards....TD....INT.....RATING
1st DOWN.......30.......45.....435.......3......1........165.42
2nd DOWN......33.......47.....433.......5......1........178.45
3rd DOWN.......21.......36.....202.......4......0........142.13
OVERALL.........84......128...1070......12.....2........163.66

Haha! Right. And Matt Leinart was a lock to be a top two pick for two years running.
Leinart had a history of shoulder and knee troubles through his entire USC career. Troy has no such problems.

I still don't think Troy will see Top-10 money though, not unless he grows about 3 inches taller between now and April.

I was referring to the expert opinion of the guys guessing draft position for Quinn. I don't think Troy will be top 10 either, but the assumption that Quinn will be there is laughable.
