If that is true, I hope he doesn't even get reinstated. How dumb would you have to be to accept illegal benefits with this whole Clarret fiasco going on? Assuming the $100bill story is true, Smith willingly put the University at more risk, and that is not the type of guy I want as QB.
If it's true I hope they publicize the name of the donor also...

At Glenville's state semi-final game he was seen wearing some pretty expensive clothes and accesories. Supposedly he had lots of "bling" on, with some pretty expensive name brand clothing. Looks like we have a FSU fiasco on hand at tOSU right now. This is such a poor decision on Troy's part. Boosters give money out at all colleges, but you have to be smart about it. This also could change this year's recruiting class. Not only by recruits getting scared off, but by tOSU having to take another QB in this class just in case.

This kinda reminds me of the MLB steriod incident. Why? Anyone recall when TS met the media when he was complaining when he wasnt starting? IIRC, he had on a $300 retro jersey, Gucci sunglasses, and about $1000 worth of jewelry. All the signs were there, just no one decided to do anything about it.

if troy was seen at the glenville semi game flashing cash, and he got busted on it, what else exactly could osu do?

JT is going to have to gear up and really lay down the law soon. osu is also going tohave to keep boosters away from these kids if possible.

IIRC, we had a certain poster on here explaining street fashion to us when that very issue was brought up...said we didn't know what we were talking about and his outfit was actually cheap

So you mean to say, you have never, ever seen anyone spend outside of their means?
What we was/is wearing doesnt mean shit.
All it means is places a high amount of value on his appearence.

Ive been Listening to 610 WTVN.....

He was Recieving $100.00 hand shakes.....

The local establishments called the university lastweek and told them what Smith was doing.....

Tress said they were made aware of it on Thursday....

Radio Host said the University CANT be held resposible for this But Smith knew he was in THE WRONG.....

He has to pay back resitution B4 he can be reinstated......

Tress also said that he talked to Smith and Tress said

"He (Troy)obviously feels bad about this"

Maybe The NCAA should just take up residency In C-Bus... Just Kidding
