Was originally a 4-star 2017 Nebraska signee (NATL #200, PRO #9) in the same class as Tyjon Lindsey.

Per 11W:

"A seventh-year senior who started his career at Nebraska as a member of the recruiting class of 2017, Gebbia is expected to be a backup for the Buckeyes. While he started five games for Oregon State between the 2019 and 2020 seasons, he did not play at all in 2021 due to a hamstring injury and played in just four games in 2022, completing 10 of 11 passes for 79 yards."

Didn't play at all in 2021 due to hamstring injury --- I need some help here: should I be casting stones at the Oregon State medical staff or just calling Tristan a quitter?

I might have the wrong guy but I think Gebbia was given some snaps against UF in bowl game, mostly for his commitment to program and being such a strong practice player.

*Just checked box score and it was Gebbia…..great lockerroom guy who went 5/6 passing and had some gritty plays on his time against Florida in bowl game.

I’d say this is most likely a move to get a head start on coaching post college playing days. Getting a year under Day is a helluva internship……can’t hurt having him on roster tho and we have the extra scholarships….

Has the feeling of when they brought in Chugs for depth. If this kid can give a little mentorship and provide a knowledgeable backup service ala Guiton, then it’s a big win.

I had to look up Kenny:

Coaching career (HC unless noted)
2015–2016 Houston (GA)
2017–2018 Houston (WR)
2019 Louisiana Tech (OWR)
2020 Colorado State (WR)
2021–present Arkansas (WR)

Hey, he's moving up the coaching ranks as a WR coach....

Might as well do both. Make sure you get the right problem.
