I just don't see him leaving. He knew what was in front of him when he came here. I believe he knows he can have great success here.

Not only that, but if what everything we've read is true, he's a true competitor. He was the national player of the year and is going to be fired up to show that he can do more than carry Haskins' jock.

I have been a very keen supporter of Haskins and I understand that every player has personal and team goals in mind and QBs need to protect themselves from injury. Still, I feel like Haskins might be playing this year with personal goals a bit too much in his mind. That slide last week, when he could have have at least five more yards, was a sign. He also confirmed it when he forced a ball into the end zone, by his admission, because he wasn't getting enough opportunities to throw TD passes.

I'd like to see more of Martell beginning this week but I also realize that he doesn't have much experience at this level and, when he's been in there, I wondered if there has been a bit too much chaos.

Was good to see him finally get inserted at Sparty, at least in the red zone. Like I mentioned in another thread, I think the staff has bigger plans for him in the next two games, especially in The Game. I think they're going to show just enough of him on Saturday to make the scUM staff game plan for him, especially with how they've struggled with mobile QBs...
