- Tyjon Lindsey was out with a broken collarbone, so Tate was missing his favorite target.
- Cedar Hill batted down two of Tate's first three passes. It is fair for people to be concerned about his being 5'10". I believe this may have affected his delivery later.
- Tate overthrew a number of his guys on intermediate and deep routes. I don't know if the first two points contributed to it, if it was the trash talking going back and forth for the last five months, or something else, but he looked like bad Cardale for almost the entire first half. When his RB left with an ankle injury he took over and suddenly became good JT.
Lastly, Bishop Gormon has D1 college prospects two-deep on both lines. It is evident. Cedar Hill could not run the ball, and they could not stop the run. I think you have to account for that *somehow* in evaluating Martell.
