Just shocked he went to Miami anyways....

I mean if I was him I'd have picked a low level D1 school. FAU, South Florida, UNLV, Houston, Rutgers, Vandy, or Texas Tech... schools like that.

He should've known Williams had really good talent and now here he is.

Must have been a clear decision seeing how early it is in camp.

Tathan should've stayed here and fought for the job. At least he knew the offense.

He was never going to win the starting QB job here. If he has a future in football, it won't be as a QB.

We all get what we need. The public profile of Martell was incredibly arrogant. He is very talented. The season has yet to start. I hope that he learns lessons from this that will benefit him a lifetime, including where he best fits in football but much more about how to be comfortable in his own skin.

Feel bad for Tate. Last year this time, he was "the future" at QB for tOSU. Then he finds out one of the highest-rated QB prospects ever is transferring in, has to scramble to find a new landing spot, picks a school, and gets beat out there. Now he's looking at being the QB2 or QB3 for a school that will probably be mid-pack in the ACC. Probably a lot of reflection going on right now.

Williams was a top-100 recruit in the same class at Tate, IIRC. No slouch.

Could see him going home to UNLV here and making a career out of what he can.....was a sophomore there in Tony Sanchez's last year and his career is dangling on a line. Could buy him another year and buy Tate his chance at QB.

Agreed. But the kid wanted to stay around the big name schools. But like you said earlier, he should've went to a lower tier Power 5 school, got a starting spot and balled out. Miami already had 2 kids that he had to beat out that were pretty talented.
Best of luck to him. And there's no reason for any Buckeye fans to pile on and wish ill will towards the kid.
