700 WLW reported the Schoenhoft verbal during their sports report. They actually played the OSU fight song in the background as it was being reported.

St. X quarterback commits to Buckeyes

DISPATCH.COM
Cincinnati St. Xavier quarterback Rob Schoenhoft reportedly has committed to play for Ohio State, giving the Buckeyes a coveted addition to their Class of 2005.
Schoenhoft is ranked as high as the sixth-best prep quarterback in the nation and the top QB among Ohio's senior class. St. Xavier head coach Steve Specht confirmed to The Cincinnati Enquirer that Schoenhoft had narrowed his choice to OSU and Michigan.
"Rob said his dream was to play at Ohio State," Specht said. "I think it was his goal to play there all along."
Specht said that Schoenhoft (6-foot-6, 235 pounds) called him yesterday from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., where he is taking part in the EA Sports "Elite 11" quarterback camp.
"I think he has the quickest release of any quarterback I've coached against or seen on film," Specht told the Enquirer. "Some people say he almost throws the ball too hard, but he's worked on that."
Supposivly he struggled today by throwing behind the receiver all day. Just what I read, didn't see it for myself. Also the Tenn. commit was the top preformer of the day.JohnnyCockfight said:I wanted to bump this thread back up because I'm interested in what Browns asked. Does anyone have any information on how Rob's performance has been at the Elite 11 camp?
...From the Elite 11 site:
The two players that have made the biggest strides from day one to day four have easily been Kyle Reed and Rob Schoenhoft.
Schoenhoft is another player with huge upside who could have been described as a bit raw heading in to the camp. The Ohio State bound signal caller has a college body right now and moves better in the pocket than a lot of quarterbacks his size. His arm strength is top three in the camp and his ability on the chalk board during the chalk sessions has been very strong as well.
