Why Quinn Ewers' car got towed ahead of Texas vs. Alabama football

"I did some deep investigating reporting today, I found out there was a parking pass mix-up between Quinn and his family," Thamel said this week on College Football Live. "He put the wrong parking pass on his Porsche, so the Ewers family took a little family trip to the tow lot, which is at the Texas softball field. Two-hundred beans later, the Ewers got their Porsche back and Quinn went on with (his) Saturday night."

Damn, Ewers only got a Porsche; where was he when the Lamborghini deals were passed out?

I don’t have any problems with the kid and wouldn’t wish harm on him for realizing the logjam he walked into and wanting to go home… All that said I think we dodged a bullet. The mullet and beard/no-stache combo isn’t something worn by someone that makes good decisions.

Of course he’s also the BMOC at UT and will get more pussy than I ever got at that age no matter how much I manscaped myself. So ‘Let him Live,’ I guess.

I have no issues with the kid either, but to suggest that he got here and realized what he stepped into may be a bit hard to believe. He came to tOSU for NIL and training. I don’t think he had more than 20% in him that ever really considered staying for good. That 20%, coincidentally, may have been his own assessment of winning the starting job here.

“I just kind of want to do my own thing,” Ewers told 247Sports in May of 2021. “I didn’t see a whole lot of mullets when I was a freshman. There’s a lot more now. Mullets are coming back.”

Not surprising, he was at Ohio State as a Freshman......

He showed flashes at the end of the game last night. He never looked to be in sync with the receivers. I found it interesting the way he commented on being asked about the transfer portal, given the amount of attention on the quarterback behind him. That made me think: How unusual of a situation Ohio State and Ewers could be in over the next couple weeks. We don’t have the quarterback we expected to have, and he doesn’t have a team.

I didn't watch the game nor did I hear his comment, so I am curious what you mean by this about "doesn't have a team."
