QB Quinn Ewers (transfer to Texas)

And one more thing, I don’t want to hear any, this is another Burrow situation no matter what Quinn Mullet does later. To even suggest that is an offense to an Ohio kid who loved tOSU, put in the time and worked his ass off and only transferred after he graduated.
Oh you’re going to definitely hear it ifEwers has any type of success! If not solely from fans but the media wanting to push the narrative that OSU let another great QB go..

How about we don't do any Burrow talk, as long as we also don't start shit talking this kid just bc he chose somewhere else.

I don’t care that he chose to go somewhere else. That’s what the transfer portal is about. Clearly, Ohio State was not right for him and that’s fine; actually, better for all parties that he do it now, I think. My issue is the way that it was handled, a subtle distinction, perhaps, but distinct nonetheless. I like that the staff, apparently, stuck to its guns about how the room is run and the importance of the team. Ultimately, that pays bigger dividends than making an exception for a generational talent. If you won’t make an exception for Ewers (and I imagine that a lot of teams would), I think that says a lot and is consistent with Day’s recruiting narrative. I also think it probably meant a lot to McCord, whom we desperately need to stay on board. That’s my point. I hope Ewers goes on an does well or not, I don’t care. I’m not shit talking him personally, but it’s fair to call out the circumstances as one sees them. That’s past, so I’m done.

Qualifying for college a year early, to receive NIL $ was a business decision. To be sure, all QBs are arrogant, cocksure, etc, and he wanted to play early. Was sitting behind three pretty good QBs, and although his skills were outstanding, don't believe he was a college level QB - yet. Four months of a program, when you're seventeen is a lifetime, so he made another business decision. Go back to home state (as most assume), where he was a known stud, or stay where he was, at tOSU, as one of several. Would also imagine that the reps at the fourth QB level were not many.....Wish the young man well, but probably won't follow him as I did Joe Burrow, given the lack of 'blood, sweat, and tears' he put in on our gridiron. Will look forward to a meeting with (UT, A&M, or ?) one day. Go Bucks!

What exception was he asking for?
