I think the staff wants 2.. that means Loser of Burrows/Haskins is gone. I think they want Jones but Jones wasn't giving them the warm and fuzzy... Jones acts puzzled but I'm betting the staff told him they might take a 2nd QB.

If Jones indeed goes to Bama I hope he's ready for two years on the bench behind Hurts and Tagovailoa...

I think Jones felt he had to tweet something because there's an obvious connection and he was going to get questioned about his reaction. The puzzled emoticon was an attempt to play it close to the vest, but I think if he knew he was an osu lock he'd have the confidence to be able to welcome the new, lower-rated buckeye to the class.

Funny thing is, if he and Jones both come in to go with current QBs on roster he could end up being the best of them all. You just never know.

But it’s obvious the staff won’t be left at the alter waiting.

I didn't know much about him but I went back and watched a little bit of his film and I must say I'm excited for this guy. What is amazing is that he's been a starter for just ONE YEAR and it's incredible the mechanics that he has for being so inexperienced.

I see a kid who has one of the best foundations I've seen in a HS QB... His base stays shoulder width or slightly past shoulder width at all times, He moves in the pocket but doesn't typically scramble, and he has experience with the read option looks. I also like how he seems to be very good at faking a zone read handoff and then pulling it back and hitting the WR running a flag route (seems to be one of his favorite throws). What an underrated kid and I didn't expect to be impressed by his film but for being a 1 year starter this is perfect.

Let him RS next year and then probably sit behind Tate or Haskins in his RS freshman year then who knows what he's capable of.
