QB Kirk Herbstreit (Frosted Quips)

 The comments though...
Never heard this rumor that was posted in the comments:

Kirk Herbstreit lives in Nashville, Tennessee now because he was having an affair with the wife of a policeman in or around Columbus, OH. I know dearly the brother of a former Columbus police officer and he said the force-wide instructions were to harass Kirk to the point that he would leave town. So they did. And he left.

Any legs behind this? Would make more sense than the "Fans are being big fat meanies to me!!" excuse for moving.

While poorly worded and perhaps overly enthusiastic, I don't disagree with Herbie here. There has to be a way to make this work. If bowl execs & sponsors can put together $500 gift baskets for players, EA can toss a copy of NCAA, Madden, FIFA, plus whatever else the players' way. Remove the "all-time/legends" teams, stick to currently enrolled players, and have them sign a release in exchange for some EA swag and new releases.

You know the joke is that NCAA is fighting it tooth and nails.... while they fold in the face of a University covering up child rape for decades, and another having imaginary classes for almost 2 decades.
If Herbstreit wants the game back pronto... he should be asking why the NCAA is fighting the ruling at all.

And what happens if a player won't sign a release in exchange for a lousy video game, as tone-deaf Herbie so self-interestedly predicts?
