What they they do and not what they are paid to say. I've watched the game 3-4 times already. When the game is over, notice that Herbie stops talking. I'm also pretty sure at one point I hear sniffling (unless I'm crazy, which is possible since I've watched a 3 hour football game 3-4 times this week, while working 50 some hours). I'm pretty sure he was getting choked up. Why not? I was.

It still doesn't jive. No one would hold it against him if he were to get emotional after his alma mater won a title, yet ten minutes after the game, he's going out of his way to make sure everyone remembers the two NC losses a decade ago while stating TWICE that the loss to LSU was embarrassing. It's absurd.
Everybody knows Holtz loves ND and SC.Everybody knows Spiels loves tOSU. Everyone knows every broadcaster has an alma mater and doesn't hold it against them. For some reason, Herbie feels the need to go so far over the top to be "neutral" that he is constantly talking shit about the program he "loves". Fuck him.

And the worst part is he brings NOTHING to the table. He's not even good at his job...or at least what his job should be. He's a mindless, cue card reading drone. Like I've said numerous times, fuck him forever. He lost his Buckeye privileges. Go jerk off to some 2006-12 SEC highlights.

The picture with the scUM band was bad enough but what sealed the deal for me was dropping OSU in his AP poll afte they beat Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl.

As you said, there is simply no way to make that jive up with the "he's just doing his job/can't be a homer" narrative.

This was the thing that really put me over the top...I didn't care for him at all, but was of the "eh, whatever, he works for ESPN" crowd before that...but once he slandered young men on national TV in prime time while his precious Truck Drivers were playing in a desperate attempt to both play himself off as an "impartial" analyst and also as an OSU insider, my opinion shifted to solidly four letter words. And when he never apologized, or even retracted, that bullshit, he can officially go fuck a cornflake...while watching 2002 USC highlights.

Agree with most all except the "neutral site". That bitch was 70% OSU. Went from Jerry's World to BUCKEYEBURG, IMO.

Saw a Duck sign that said "Who plays in a Shoe...seriously". Guessing they know now how it feels to try to pull a shoe out of their ass as far as Cardale & Co. asspunted that thing up in there.
