I don't particularly care for some Buckeye fans too. I feel that. Which is why I'll be going ok national television tonight to let the world know that in the FBIs recent beastiality sting they nabbed Herby fuckin his dead dogs ear hole. Depraved. Also i will be up so late reporting on this that I will drop OSU 6 spots after beating ND by 30. Tomorrow I will apologize to Steve Sarkisian during a fluff piece for saying out loud that I thought they may lose to OSU.

Amen….my SEC family and friends have gotten to the point where they are mocking me for my disdain of Herbstreit’s antics. They insist he is the best ambassador for OSU than anyone else and that he is the mayor of CFB. Those folks don’t even tune in to anything but ESPN/ABC. They don’t understand that the other 70% of CFB fans are sick of the SEC not because of jealousy but because of bias and control

I’m on record in this thread being very negative, and Herbstreit still annoys me to the point that I mute his broadcasts, but at this point, I feel like you have to treat him like he has some pretty severe mental health issues and just leave him alone as he continues to do his obnoxious, national corporate shill thing.

Whether he’s a victim or a villain in all this, his behavior indicates to me that he’s definitely going through some things, and just ignoring him is probably best at this point… because wherever he falls on that scale, if the constant negative feedback loop from Buckeye fans ultimately results in some harm to him, that would be extremely unfortunate.

A certain segment of the fanbase will never stop… let’s call them the lunatic fringe… but we can make that fringe smaller by not contributing even when the behavior is ridiculous, inconsistent, and obnoxious and the criticism is warranted.
