Ill go ahead and follow suit about Kenny and his huge smile in the video. I love that he doesnt seem to hold a grudge on his late recruitment.

The kid is moving FAR away from home, hes going to school that is NOT known for producing NFL caliber QBs, he knows he wont get early PT as a starter, and he didn't get a schollie till late...yet he is still so excited - that is a TRUE BUCKEYE!!!!

Good get by the coaching staff, this kid certainly will have his chance to shine. His enthusiasm is what every championship team needs. Go Bucks :oh:

:io:to that! :)

Every year there are these OOS players who just love tOSU.. Last year there were guys like Keith Wells, Brewster and Pryor.. This year Guiton is definitely one of them. I absolutely love those guys. They didn't have their dad rooting for tOSU when they were a kid but they still love the school and the coaches... Gotta love it.

I was going to mention KW in my past post. Boy, his clip on signing day also was a great one. That clip has stuck with me since I saw it. Just love kids like that and forever will be rooting for them to get on the field and do that which they do all so well.

Congrats to all the kids who will grow up to be great young men under JT and staff!

Football profile: Kenny Guiton: Last minute QB from Texas fills out 2009 class
Margaret Stahl
Issue date: 2/20/09

When looking for a quarterback in the 2009 recruiting class, Ohio State was set on Tajh Boyd, the five-star recruit from Hampton, Va., but Boyd was seeing orange.

After Boyd jumped from offer to offer, eventually choosing Clemson University, OSU had to reevaluate its quarterback search. In less than a week, the Buckeyes found 6-feet-2, 178-pound Kenny Guiton from Eisenhower High School in Aldine, Texas.

"Boyd had numerous scholarship offers," said Steve Helwagen, the managing editor of Bucknuts Media Network. "Kenny was like a needle-in-a-haystack find and a last minute decision at that."

This quick pick was a completely different scenario from what OSU went through to get Terrelle Pryor. It took months, if not years for the Buckeyes to convince the Pennsylvania all-star he would do best with the Scarlet and Gray.

Guiton signed with the Buckeyes three days before National Signing Day, which was a huge benefit on both sides. He had offers from schools such as Northwestern, Iowa State and Kansas.

Kenny Guiton

5. QB Kenny Guiton, Fr. - It might be silly to put a quarterback not named Pryor on any list, and Guiton is a long way from playing, well behind veteran backup Joe Bauserman. But Guiton showed some zip and generally didn't come off as the guy who was a last-minute addition to the recruiting class when the Buckeyes were desperately searching for a quarterback.
"He's got a little glow about him," Tressel said. "He's got a neat personality and he'll be a good leader. I thought he threw the ball well today. His accuracy needs to get better, and he needs to get stronger, as all freshmen do, but I've been very pleased."
