Wells4Heisman
Fifth Year Freshman
He thrived on contact in highschool when he ran the ball, we're gonna have to tone it down a little.

I'm evaluating him as Braxton.. and how every defense was petrified of Braxton's legs
which greatly helped his passing.. defenses were traumatized... pick your poison...
rush him too hard and regret flushing him out of the pocket
or take your chances letting him pass.. to this pack of Zone 6 studs...
dayumm
And with the ability to correctly read and execute the zone read, unlike Braxton
“He’s Braxton, with more of this, less of that, and hopefully a little more of this but less of that.”Yeap, thats my read too. Brax with less jitter, better touch, and hopefully a little better from the pocket. Brax could throw some ropes too... like that Wiscy 1st half ender.
If a running QB makes it through 15 games unscathed, we should be in fine shape.
Fields can't throw like Haskins, though. We might run the ball less with the QB now than we did with Haskins. We are one play away from the reign of Chug, which feels like the basketball equivalent of having Titus as the 6th man. Just thought about it and what a weird roller coaster of emotions we've gone through at QB. A year ago I could have told you our depth chart would go Haskins, Tate Martell, and Emory Jones...

I'd say you just have to be smart... get him out of games as quick as you can, run the ball, and save his legs for the big games.I know it, but he also can't afford to be hurt now that Baldwin is gone. Fields runs it better, Haskins threw it better, but we have to adapt with zero depth.
And we need him to play because he's good
