QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Making some impressive throws today, including an amazing throw on the run that got called back due to holding. Great to see and hopefully he keeps progressing with the new team.

Hey, football is team sport, so I'll say that here are his 2 most his most important stats to the team:

1. AFC North
Steelers....2-0
Browns.....1-1
Bengals....0-2
Ravens.....0-2

2. Also, compare what Fields is making, i.e. Justin Fields signed a 4 Years, $18,871,957 contract with the Chicago Bears on June 10, 2021.

to the other 3 OBs:

a. Deshaun Watson signed a 5 Years, $230,000,000 contract with the Cleveland Browns on March 18, 2022

b. Joe Burrow signed a five year, $275 million contract extension with the Bengals on September 9, 2023.

c. Lamar Jackson agreed to a five-year deal that made him the highest-paid player in the NFL. The contract was a five-year, $275 million deal

I don't care what you say, If the Bears keep Fields and draft Marv and the top OL like they should have in the Top 10 of that draft, they would be 2-0 right now and that Offense would be scary with a healthy Keenan Allen coming back from injury. I will take that shit to my grave

That's what I was saying during the draft. JF is a good enough QB to get the job done if you surround him with weapons. Very few QB's are good enough to get the job done when they lack weapons and protection. I'm still pissed that the Browns backed up the Brink's truck for Watson when they could have ridden out the last year of Baker's contract then traded a lot less than they gave away for Watson for JF with 3 years left on his rookie deal. It really pisses me off that I want to see JF play well for a team I hate.

still doesn't have any WR that can take over a game. He doesn't have faith enough in his guys right now to throw to them covered and I don't blame him but it's the NFL and everyone is usually covered. Would look really good as a Cardinal or taking Tua's spot in Miami.

Yeah just get him out of Pitt. He was at least throwing with more anticipation and more willing to fit the ball into tight windows than any other game I've seen of his.

Agreed, but I hope he gets traded, first.

Just sayin': I don't agree, you have to Pittsburgh a reasonable chance. I think he is in a pretty good situation with the Steelers. Fields is starting and the team is 2-0; and, if Russell Wilson does return from an injury he's not going to be the Steeler QB for the future. In addition, the Steelers have one of the best owners/organization in the NFL and they have a proven winner in their head coach:
  • Super Bowl champion (XLIII)
  • Most consecutive non-losing seasons to begin coaching career: 17
Now the only problem is with their current offense; they could use some better offensive linemen and WRs.

As a Clevelander, I don’t care to lose to Pittsburgh. I’d rather see him succeed somewhere else. That’s all. Give them a qb who can’t win games.
