QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

I think the Bears are doing perfectly fine in the “be competitive but still tank for a good draft pick” strategy.

It almost feels like a controlled tank from the top execs to the coaching staff.
Yeah meanwhile the Lions feel like they are going 7-10 and get a mediocre draft pick but hey the draft pick the get from the Rams this year might be a really high pick somehow lol

I am rooting for him like everyone else here, but he has just an alarming amount of negative plays in his career so far: 20 picks, 25 fumbles and taken 76 sacks in 22 starts

agree

the fumble thing has been a non issue this year. ball security is a lot better especially in last 2 months

the interceptions are still a problem especially late in games.

but if you watch the games this year it’s so clear he’s the only reason the bears are competing

it’s not like baker or others where the team is great and the QB is the limiting factor

And Field's has always taken more sacks then he should cause he tends to pass up short stuff for the big play hunting and he holds it till the last possible 2nd cause he believes in his chance to make a play.

We haven't had a QB that throws it away to not risk a negative play very often

He's 9/13, 91 yards, 1 TD w/ a RTG of 114.6.

Jalen Hurts is 11/19, 2 INT w/ a RTG of 46.1.

Just logging the 3rd Q situation as Fields has once again outplayed his opponent for 3Qs with no help; before the inevitable 2 picks that are about to occur as he tries to rally the Bears in the 4Q.
