QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

I will be rooting for LSU for the first time in life, and most likely only root for them for two years. To be more specific, I will not be rooting for LSU but for Joey's success singular. I hope Joey burns it up. Why, because he is a class act and a kid from Athens, OH that has done everything he was supposed to do the right way including graduating from OSU in three years, that is impressive. The kid is a winner. No way am I going to begrudge him for leaving and wanting play and hopefully make it to the NFL. I would love it if he were still a Buckeye, but he made a good decision for HIM, not me. Good luck Joe.

Neither Elliott nor Bosa transferred to a rival school.

Again, what was your reaction when LBJ fled to Miami? If you regarded him as a traitor, and lionize Burrow, you're being inconsistent.
I think you are being a tad obtuse. LBJ left ( which by the way, I never begrudged him although I recognize that’s not a common sentiment here) but was obviously a huge contributor to the team...you know...being the best player in the world and all. Meanwhile, Joe was not gobig to be offered meaning playing time unless an injury happened. So he did his best, got his degree, honored tOSU in every way and then took his shot at playing time when the staff told him there wouldn’t be much of that for him here. For the life of me, I cannot imagine how anyone could wish anything but the best for a young man who has worked so hard. I don’t care whether they are a player for our team or any other team. Somebody who works his ass off like that deserves respect.

Exactly. Should Ohio State play LSU whilst JB is at the helm.. well.. Go Bucks..

You're right.... Burrow did his work, did his best, got his degree (as you said) and DIDN'T have an ESPN segment where he basically ripped his hometown to shreds in a made for TV special....

The two aren't even remotely comparable.

Still playing the victim card, I see. No one here "idolizes" him. But it's still OK for tOSU fans to be happy for his potential success, and the even think it's "awesome" that's he has earned the starting spot at a top-name school. And if his decision isn't "in the best interests the Ohio State Buckeyes", so be it. Are you "not happy for him" for those that leave early for the draft? You're weren't happy for Zeke Elliott or Joey Bosa? I mean, their decisions to leave a year were hardly in the Buckeyes' best interest...

He does have his schtick to play. It's the regular season after-all. Situation normal and whatnot.

It looks like LSU might not have been the best choice for young Mr. Burrow. Their WRs look like they’re coached by Zach Smith.

Joking aside, there have been multiple miscommunications between Burrow and his receivers on every drive.

It might get cleaned up with time, but given LSU’s offense for the last decade and a half or so, it might be an ongoing issue.

On the other hand they are kicking the canes ass so far... Thus any clean up will be in a more positive environment.

Looks like you're gonna get your wish. LSU 27, the U 3 start of the 3rd. Couldn't happen to a better guy. :oh:

Kind of illustrated why he shouldn’t have gone to LSU, IMO.

Wins huge, and his numbers look awful. But that’s how it’s going to be most weeks. He played better than his stats indicate.....lots of drops, limited pass attempts, and very vanilla play calling.

Hope LSU does exceptionally well in SEC though.
He was a guarantee to start at LSU. Big name program that attracts NFL scouts. From a perspective to get drafted, smart move. Scouts look at him, not the drops.

Thoughtl he 'managed' the game rather well. Once the Oline got their heads out of their a**, Jeaux got some time to throw. Yeah, the WRs looked like workers on OT, but they made enough catches at critical times. Couple of two handed misses that Jeaux took in stride. What bothered [me was that no one on the LSU sideline came up to tap him on helmet, fist bump him, pretty much let the yankee sit alone. As he shrugged it off [and did his thing, it got better. Also, no headphones, no coaches grabbing him and talking him up. Wife even commented that it looked like he was all alone there. Guess they don't know how to treat their QBs. Still, he handled the interview well after the game, giving out the credit. Announcers seemed to be 'pro-Jeaux', commenting that he read the safety blitz, so changed play at the line and it went for a TD. Ogeron will probably take credit for that. Not sure he's worth his salt/salary[ as a head coach. Anyway, he didn't have the numbers, but the team he was playing was pretty stout.

Had a dream that Dwayne took tOSU to the final four, and then went pro. OK, been said, but the funny part was that Jeaux came back to C'bus for his final year, and became just Joe, and tOSU won it all.......Go Beaux!
