QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

Not enough mention of JT, and he's one of the main reasons we were in the NC. First year starter and a redshirt frosh and finished 5th in Heisman voting. So much praise should be sent JT's way, and I'm sure he'll make for a great QB battle.

But what pisses me off is the joke of a website that is Blescher Report, stirring shit up by making bulshit articles like this one! We just won the goddamn NC and were not allowed a day to enjoy it without reading this bulshit! Fuck Bleacher Report!!!:mad1:

Anyone who has followed JT in all of his interviews knows that he has essentially zero affect. Whether he's thrown the game-losing INT (OK, so that never really happened) or got seven TD passes, his facial expression is the same and his speech patterns are emotionless.

Ice water in his veins. Just one reason I believe he's the starter in 2015.

VTech wasn't too far off on that though... not that I'm trying to lay the blame at his feet (there was a *LOT* wrong in that game), but he had a pretty bad day. And as you say, he wasn't fazed.

Especially when he already said he's coming back:

Re: “I’m not leaving,” Barrett said. “I don’t think Braxton is leaving. I don’t think Cardale is leaving. That’s being honest. With that, I mean, it’s just competition. It’s part of football. It’s what we’re about to do.”

He knew he had to compete for the position when he came here. Nothing really has changed. Why would anyone think that he would leave? Besides he'll just be a red shirt sophomore this year (2015). In 2016 he'll still have 2 more years of eligibility; and Miller and (in all likelihood) Jones will be gone.

How could he not be a little bummed out about the whole thing? I wouldn't blame him (or Braxton for that matter) for feeling a little bummed out. It's got to be very hard to be in that situation, watching someone else step in and finish what you started and get the attention after doing what he did to get us there all season long. Every guy on that team worked hard to get us there. I'm sure they all understand that deep down, but it's got be hard. To stay fired up and engaged and supportive in that situation shows a great deal of maturity and strength.

The spotlight may be on Cardale (deservedly) right now, but nobody has forgotten what JT did to get us there. Or what Braxton did last year to get us where we were to start off.

My bigger concern with JT is a future knee injury which happens a lot to guys that had to have plates in their leg after an injury like he had. Here is to wishing him an injury free career from here on in as he wins many more games at tOSU.
