correction, as soon as the "pitch count" was lifted for JT's feet, the offense took off. Those weren't options on most of those first half handoffs.

Hmmm. Dropping eight against a guy with 'accuracy issues' seems to be a poor allocation of fixed resources.

Fixed resources? According to Frosted Tips IU was playing 12 on defense all night, rushing 3, dropping 8, and using 1 as a spy.

When you drop 8 you are adding underneath defenders. You are dropping a DE or another LB and those guys aren't dropping to defend the deep ball. So yeah, when IU said they dropped 8 because JT couldn't hit the deep ball, it makes perfect sense, they added short route defenders to make it more difficult for him to just hit easy throws.

I won't lie in getting sick and tired of the media... everyone keeps saying he was double pumping the ball all game. What the fuck no he wasnt... watched that game 5 tomes this week (I watch previous games while running on the treadmill) and I didn't see one God damn hitch by JT.
I really really hope JT goes 21 of 27 for 280 and 3 scores. It's amazing how ill informed these pod casts and websites are they don't even watch the film.
We need to throw the ball less then we did last week though. 35 times is way too many and I think that sweet spot is 25-28.

Not trying to be an alarmist, but I'm thinking he will have to improve his numbers next week if he hopes to keep his Heisman campaign rolling.
