QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

When I talk about focusing the blame on Dwayne, I’m more talking about Rivera/Coaching Staff/Front Office. Nothing like telling a guy that he better not struggle this week or he’s done.

Looks like Dwayne did what he needed to do today and it’s not like Baltimore is week defensively. But then again, I’m sure it’s week to week now.

Put Dwayne on the Browns, does the narrative about him change? Is Baker a better QB than him?

Baker this year so far is 182 yds 2 TD .5 INT QB per game.
Dwayne is 235 Yds 1 TD <1 INT per game

One of them has talent galore around them at the skill position. Perhaps the yards are inflated a little bit for Dwayne, but I would say that leads to more risk of INT too.

Ron Rivera lucked into Cam Newton's career year. He's not exactly a sterling example of a successful NFL coach anyway.

Washington has no running game whatsoever. 70 yds as a team in support. Look at what the Browns and Baker got today out of the run game, 307 yds. Joe won today and low and behold Mixon had 150 yds rushing. Dak threw for 500 and had what 85 rushing in support. Some of this obviously play calling (see Dallas), but get geez the man some help.

He had all the patience in the world too for Dwayne until 2 things happened. 1 the Cowboys and eagles sucked 2. 1. convinced the front office they have a shot at the division and thus Dwayne loosing the game last week that was winnable suddenly made the front office push that his play wasn't good enough in I assume a play to get them into the playoffs at 7-9 or something. Proving once and for all the front office of the Redskins is run by a bunch of morons that would rather sneak into the playoffs and get their head bludgeoned in playing a dead end at QB. Then properly developing their future. If I was Rivera I would have told them to stuff it let me handle my job cause their dumbasses interfering all the time got them to this spot in the first place. Everything changed as soon as their were rumors of the front office being unhappy and I don't think that's a coincidence.

CONTEXT MATTERS. Quincy Avery wants to play a game. Based purely on stats, choose the best quarterback out of this trio.



As you might imagine, the quarterback with the objectively better numbers out of this group is Dwayne Haskins, who is also the only quarterback in this group whose job appears to be in jeopardy.

QB1) Sam Darnold
QB2) Dwayne Haskins
QB3) Daniel Jones

Makes you think, for sure.
