QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

While I selfishly want Dwayne to come back, there is very little reason to do so. In fact, the only one I can think of with any weight would be the "only 1 year of starting" and that's not a great reason.

With the QB class being what it is, and Patterson and Herbert returning to school, Haskins would definitely go top 10 and maybe top 5. Get paid (or "payed"), young man.

You make excellent points here, jwins, but IMO Olave is the best of the bunch, and he's returning with some seasoning.
All three (Olave, Mack, Victor) are more talented as pure WRs, but until they prove it consistently (Mack merely from a physical standpoint), it's a big question mark.

Particularly when Haskins was blessed with those three as his complimentary pieces at WR

Well done

IF he stays - wow! Then what happens with Tate? Bye-bye? And Fields? And what about the projected duel between Tate and Baldwin? Day is blessed to have such depth at QB, no empty closet for him to deal with.

IF he stays, which I don't think he is, then you party like it's 1999 and worry about the rest later.

Most likely you have no Fields and maybe a Tate transfer.

You'd still have Baldwin and that graduate transfer from last year (Chugnov?) they would need to get one more transfer for depth.

Dwayne has one last shot at winning an award. The Manning Award for QBs isn't awarded until after the bowl games. The fact that Murray lost his bowl game helps Haskins' chances a bit, but if Tua wins on Monday that could put him over the top. Don't know the exact date for the award ceremony.

They give 8 guys weekly recognition; Haskins and Murray got that 6 times, Tua got it on 4 occasions.

Haskins has better passing stats (more total yards, more yards per game, more TDs, better TD/INT ratio, better completion percentage) that does Murray and has one fewer loss. As for Tagovailoa, Haskins didn't have to have his backup come in and save the season after going 10-25-2 and -21 yards rushing in the SEC title game. While Murray and Tagovailoa were more dynamic overall because of their running abilities, Haskins was the better passer and overall QB.

Murray would be crazy to choose football over baseball... baseball career could last 20 years; at his size football probably could be short lived; plus pay difference is huge
Tua will be interesting; he's a southpaw; tell me who has a left handed QB... and who was the last southpaw (Stabler or Steve Young?); any on an NFL roster now?
NFL OLs have best at LT... this flips your whole line; and what happens during injury periods - then your line is flipped... problematic

Michael Vick is the last southpaw I can recall starting in the NFL.
