QB CJ Stroud (All B1G, 2022 B1G QB of the Year, All-American, NFL OROY, Houston Texans)

Yeah, last year they made a surprising run, but the Bengals have a 2 year window at best going forward.

This is completely ignorant. Since Mike has given over most of the responsibilities to his daughter and Duke, the franchise has done a complete 180. It's actually a destination for free agents , now thanks to Joe Burrow. The window is not 2 years. Burrow was right when he said the window will stay open as long as he's there. They have also always paid their quarterbacks. Burrow isn't going anywhere and same case with their weapons. They may lose one here and there but their core will stay for a long time.

I think NIL significantly changes the calculus on these decisions. If a QB, or any other player for that matter, doesn't make it past their initial contract, they would have been better off with an additional year or two in college making NIL money. Not saying CJ is in this boat, but I think Haskins would have been. Like I said, I think it changes the calculus a little.

Possibly but there’s a TON of character issues with him. I wouldn’t wanna be the franchise to give him $40M guaranteed….

If not for the character issues, I’d say yea.
Not only that... but CJ has proven to be a pocket passer but has shown now the ability to run IF he really has to.

That's what the NFL is for QBs... throw first, throw second, throw 3rd and if you have to? Yeah see what you can do. Which is exactly what CJ is built for.

Whether he goes this year or next year he's the best available prospect.
