All seriousness, what's not to be optimistic about?

We know we're overachieving this season without Braxton as is. We also know Cardale is a D-I college football player and not some slouch.

If we lose, we lose. But we've got every reason to believe we can win.

What happens if Cardale shows himself to be a really good QB? He sells his soul to the devil and wins us the BIG championship game and the national title, looking like a potential star in the process. Wtf do we do then? A 2 QB controversy becomes a 3 way controversy!

We've all been so pessimistic of our chances that I thought it'd be funny to consider the exact opposite.

Barrett transfers to Oregon, Miller transfers to Michigan and Burrow and Gibson get lots of snaps to be ready next season.

Because Max watched the mighty S-E-C yesterday (at least select games) and declared them to be the biggest (pass the look test), strongest, fastest (able to play in space test), well disciplined, skilled, and moxiest (is moxiest even a word?) group to ever play the game. Therefore everyone else should give up football and bow at their feet. No since even trying to beat Wisky because any of the teams from the best conference ever would beat us 1,000 to -53.

Well that and some of us are too worried about some media narrative that doesn't even exist yet and are actively hoping the Buckeyes don't achieve their goals this year.

Started thinking about this too.

I mean, screw it, we're playing with house money at this point. The nation knows we're down to our 3rd QB this year, let's still do the damn thing anyway.

Being miserable about the future is a choice. Will Cardale succeed? I don't know. But he's the QB now so I can either spend all week being down about it or enjoy the fact the Buckeyes are playing for the B1G championship and a possible playoff spot.

FFS, we're not a 5-7 team who just lost (again) to their rival and on the verge of looking for a new coach. Buck up, buttercup.

On the last drive of the first half we didn't even have to hit any of the long passes, just running them opened things up at the line of scrimmage. Then again, they were probably in prevent as well- but the point is you have to take your shots to open up the run game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a play action bomb on the first play of the game. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a wildcat double reverse bomb by Cardale similar to Auburn last night at some point of the game.
