QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

aha oh my thats a good one. i got a good hardy chuckle at that. and no im not taking a step back, i know more then anyone else here, but most of you are just too big of homers to ever admit being wrong
Arrogant much? You're still pretty new around here, why not take a little time proving your self instead of proclaiming your awesomeness with relatively nothing to back it up.

I feel like Jones is going to the NFL if we win the NC. He was on track to graduate this coming december so its not like he had much school left that he cant graduate over the next 2 summers. I just dont think he will be a good NFL QB, im not really sure he can read a defense after they have 6+ games of film on him yet. Or that he can have a good short passing game. He seems to be all about the 15+ yard passes
In order for him to graduate in december, he would need to attend summer classes. So why would he not play for the final season before he graduated? He declares now, he wouldn't be able to graduate.

Had a guy at the bars out here that I heard say "Ohio State exaggerates their QB being 3rd string but fails to mention he was a consensus 5* in high school and had offers from everywhere in the country...and he is only a true sophomore" (he didn't know his name btw) I tried to politely explain that he was a consensus 3* with very few major offers and that he was not a true sophomore, but a hubris inflamed person tried to tell me otherwise and that I had no grasp on Ohio State football. Furthermore, he said "You don't understand recruiting, it's ok though" (anyone in the recruiting forums will laugh as I did here) Glad the internets are so available to let him eat crow, all while I could wish his Ducks the best of luck as he realized I was right.

He was trying to say we have a clear advantage due to the injuries...I asked who his 2nd string QB was. No answer. Then I asked the 3rd string QB...no answer. I said "Point proven." He then asked "Ok then, who is your 3rd string QB?" I said "His name is Cardale Jones, the 3* QB who you thought was a 5* that is going to beat you tomorrow." Not trying to be cocky, but just trying to address those fans who pretend that this was to be expected...Cardale is a great talent and I cannot/will not minimize anything he has done, but it is cute to see the irrational college fan trying to rationalize everything now that it is in the books. Get us one more big guy and be in Buckeye glory forever

Have we forgotten Kenny Guiton already !? Of course not, but yet another even more remarkable story of a QB buried on the depth chart to come in & perform admirably for this team. Hopefully we don't have to rely on more of these "Legends from the bench", but yet another showcase of the tremendous coaching and personal focus of these guys to come in and help this team succeed. Couldn't be more proud.

Wait your turn and you may just get a shot at being a legend. Kenny Guiton went from forgotten back up, who Urban tried to run off, to one of the most beloved QBs in Ohio State history.

Life works in mysterious ways. Cardale finally has got his shot and now has a shot to be an Ohio State legend. No pressure or anything! But if he pulls this off, and wins the National Championship, he becomes one of the most beloved Buckeyes of all time. He kept his nose clean, didn't complain about being passed over and now has his shot. While I feel horrible for Barrett, I feel excitement for Cardale. It's his team now and his time to shine. And I fully believe in him.

:) :) :)

Just by ways of an update, that Oregon fan did text me to acknowledge that Cardale was indeed a 3* and was a redshirt sophomore after prep school for a year. Also acknowledged that I was right in the whole him beating his team thing. Classy bunch but let's not make this about me...Cardale needs a parade, a statue, and his own massage chair. In that order.
