X1000 this is all that matters. They won't win with Stave trying to beat us and we MUST force them to earn all their points with long sustained drives.I feel really confident about this game...I think Wiscy is going to have a rude awakening in store for them trying to defend Cardale. It's all going to rest on two things:
- Run defense
- Not turning the ball over
It's 3rd or 4th and short. We line up 5 wide with JT in the backfield. The whole world knows whats coming. I can't remember not picking up that first down at any point this year. I can remember thinking "Oh crap...they know it's a QB draw, we're not going to make it oh hey shit we did it again." But I can't remember not getting that first down.To do that you need to pick up 1st downs and move the chains. Being predictable is going to end with a lot of stalled drives. TH needs some wrinkles in the game plan bc Wisky will stack the box and expect just that (run heavy w/ QB). I think they will go unconventional to keep UW off balance. Expect the deep ball early to get the Wisc DB's off the line and on their heels. Like everyone else has said, big task for the Defense this weekend.
About the same as butt crack sweat ?What does cleavage sweat have to do with Cardale Jones?
Exactly. I've never really understood the whole "predictability" argument. I'm always a big fan of the "run it until you can stop it" philosophy. That's actually always been my beef with Herman despite him being arguably the best offensive coordinator we've ever had. Occasionally he'll out think himself with some odd playcalling here and there. It's 3rd or 4th and short. We line up 5 wide with JT in the backfield. The whole world knows whats coming. I can't remember not picking up that first down at any point this year. I can remember thinking "Oh crap...they know it's a QB draw, we're not going to make it oh hey [Mark May] we did it again." But I can't remember not getting that first down.
Predictability doesn't matter when you're executing.
