QB Cardale '12 Gauge' Jones (B1G Champion, National Champion)

I hope he goes to the Carolina Panthers so I can see him throw long bombs to TG junior all day. It makes sense as he can sit behind Cam for a couple of years...by then, may be Devin Smith will be traded to the Panthers too :-)

I'm as big of an Ohio State fan you can find but fuck. that.

Good luck to these guys making money, not off of me.

I wasn't going to say it. But I'm glad you did. He was getting clowned on, on Twitter over this. It's a fucking rip off. $39 for the lowest price? Absolutely garbage.

Even Zeke has one coming up. Not sure if his will be that high priced.

Edit: apparently inscriptions for Zekes autograph are $15, but anything more starts at a ridiculous $69!

Say what you want about it... If I were local it would almost be worth it to show up and flip 'em a couple of bucks in appreciation of the fact that they did this after declaring. I understand the crap they may get for it and all, but we have to recognize that people are giving them crap for doing it the right way...

If Jones' and Elliott's prices are that high, I don't even want to see what they'll be charging for Bosa.

Cardale Jones Spent 2015 Looking Over His Shoulder: "I think it definitely affected my play and my mindset during games"

JonesInPocket.jpg

It’s hard to imagine a better start to a career for an Ohio State starting quarterback than how it began for Cardale Jones: Big Ten champion, Sugar Bowl champion, national champion, all in just over a month.

It’s a shame there wasn’t a better ending to go along with this story.

Jones won the starting position after a highly anticipated offseason battle with J.T. Barrett. Although he wasn’t told until seconds before the start of the first game with Virginia Tech, he was under the impression the job was his.

“I thought that was the whole plan going through camp was to find that guy,” Jones told TheOzone.net recently. “We were all vocal about we didn’t want a two-quarterback system.”

Jones played all but the final three possessions of the 42-24 win over the Hokies and looked good doing it. In his first game as the true Buckeye starting quarterback, Jones completed 10-of -19 passes for 187 and two touchdowns while rushing for 99 more yards and another score.

It appeared that Jones would pick up right where he left off the previous January when he was running over Alabama defenders and hunting Ducks, leading the Buckeyes once again.

Little did he know how short his leash was.

“We also had an understanding that we wanted a starter and a guy that we as a staff, as a team, believe in and trust,” he said. “Not a guy that, ‘Let’s see what he can do then see what he can do’ and just go back and forth. That wasn’t the plan at all in my opinion.”
