QB Antonio Henton (transfer to Ga. Southern and FT. Valley St.)

not that i care...but does anyone know what his star ranking in going to be? or how many stars he will have?
FWIW, on the ESPN recruiting page, Henton makes the list of top 35 quarterbacks in the country as of 5/28. The only Ohioan on the list is Hartline. So, he is not exactly a moderate recruit according to some anyway. I don't think 4-stars is out of the question, but as has been said, it doesn't really matter. Just interesting.

Georgia Military...JUCO powerhouse.

We sent them 3 kids in the past 5 years. One has a beautiful NC ring from his time there.

Grad....I don't know your thoughts on his film, but I was very impressed by his pocket pressence and his ability to see down field while scrambling. The film I watched showed he has an above average arm and good vision down field. His motion is similar to Troy Smith's. He displayed nice touch on the ball.

From all accounts he is a quality kid off the field also. Everyone should be excited about this kid.

I bet the coaching staff tries to get Hartline to go the grey shirt route. It would give him more time to build up his body.

I like this Henton kid, he's a good one.
B Greene on BN stated that he didnt think Hartline would entertain that option. He feels he will have plenty of offers to choose from. I am not sure I agree with him on the last point - it looks like ND is going another direction and most likely Michigan with 4 other guys ahead of Hartline in the pecking order.

I wish him luck.

Back on topic - really glad to get this kid here at tOSU. Lets hope he gets everything in order and is ready to start summer/fall of 06.

so, let me get this straight... SGN reports talking to AH's coach and the coach says they called and committed. Duane Long reports talking to AH's coach and the coach said that they haven't committed? wires are crossed somewhere.
if HH says it's happened, then that's good enough for me. gotta believe it's inevitable anyways, so i will welcome Antonio aboard. can't wait to see him in the Scarlet & Gray.:osu:

If this really is a commitment, and it's accepted, what does it do to Nate Davis, Hartline and Tim Tebow?

Would JT take another QB -- either an 'athlete' (Davis) or as a true QB, with Henton considered an 'athlete' who could play another position?

I haven't read anything to suggest that Henton is being brought in as an athlete... he's athletic but I don't think he could cut it at OSU at any other position. Many posters have wondered this logically due to TS working out at other positions, but no actual news articles have suggested this.
