Sinkholes have opened beneath Purdue's football field in one end zone due to a main line break. No Purdue football players were hurt as a result (that joke writes itself).

semi serious question. did anyone, and i do mean anyone, even consider the possibility that a purdue player could have possibly been injured as a result of this?

on the hazel bit, i kinda feel bad for the guy. he strikes me as a good coach and a good person. but at no point did i ever think purdue was a good job for him. but only because i don't think purdue is a good job for any living person. i have no idea what their thinking is. i watched part of their press conference today on btn. they seem reasonably delusional on their options.

Mike Leach could probably win there. Though I have no earthly idea why he'd want to.

West Lafayette is rivaled by only Port-au-Prince, Haiti as a desirable location to coach college football.
