So where is Purdue going to finish in the Big Ten this year? It is going to be an interesting year because it could go either way - they could be a solid NCAA tourney team, but if they get unlucky they could be left out of the postseason altogether. JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore were beasts last year and it is impossible to find two guys on that roster who are going to come close to their production this year. Painter was able to ride their coattails last year, and I expect his offense to struggle mightily with the talent (or lack thereof) in W. Lafayette this year. Heck, they even had some stinker offensive performances WITH those stars. And don't even try to argue Hummel is a comparable scorer to Moore or Johnson.

We'll just be glad to see Robbie on the court again! This years team will definitely have a different look without JJ & E'Twaun but we still have enough talent and returning players along with the addition of Anthony Johnson and Meal Beashers. Our biggest issue will be size and rebounding. Our top 8 players are all basically guards.

Purdue's Isaac Haas accused of lying about STD and infecting his former partner

A civil lawsuit alleges former Purdue basketball standout Isaac Haas infected his former partner with an incurable STD, and states she's not the first one he's infected.

Alyssa Chambers filed a $1 million civil lawsuit in Tippecanoe Circuit Court Tuesday accusing Haas of lying to her about having a sexually transmitted disease — and subsequently, infecting her.

Chambers and Haas engaged in a brief sexual encounter on May 15, 2017, according to a notice of civil tort filed with the lawsuit. Chambers was found to be infected with herpes two weeks later, according to the filing, which also names Purdue University and Madison Millsaps as defendants in the case.

Chambers' notice of civil tort filing indicates she did not have sexual relations with anyone but Haas between May 15 and June 7, 2017, the date of her diagnosis with herpes.

Haas told Chambers he'd been treated for chlamydia and was clean by the time he and Chambers hooked up, according to the lawsuit filing.

Purdue to wear special helmets, stickers to honor military against Missouri

Purdue will honor the nation’s military this weekend as they host Missouri on Saturday in what is shaping up to be a huge game for the Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium. As part of the festivities, the night game will feature coaches wearing “military-themed apparel” on the sidelines and the players will sport a special version of the team’s matte black helmet — including the American flag on one side and “a decal, picked by the player, of one of the five U.S. military branches.”
