Purdue +14.5 at Notre Dame (ov/un 51.5) Sat 3:30, NBC

The missed delay of game call allowed ND to avoid a 4th and 11 at midfield - and obviously overtime - and they win it on a FG in the waning seconds.

Referee Seamus O'Callahan didn't notice the play clock expired before the Irish snapped the ball on 3rd down. :roll1:

Big 10 refs actually :)

Tough game, surprised how well Purdue stopped the run this year, much better than last year. They gave up 280 yards on the ground last year, only 54 this year, that was the difference. Golson did a pretty good job throwing though when the running game couldn't get going, credit Purdue's front 7, their D-Line was very good.

Lot of injuries in this game, thats going to hurt against Michigan State next week. Going to need Eifert back at TE, and hopefully at least Slaughter or Lewis-Moore are just just nicked. Those are 3 important seniors that are pivotal on both sides of the ball.

Next week against Michigan State will be tough. They lost 31-13 to the Irish in South Bend last year, but the Irish may be down a number of key players. There were 7 injuries, two of them captains, a lot of 2nd teamers got very meaningful game time as a result.

Tyler Eifert has a mild concussion and will be day to day
Jamoris Slaughter banged up his shoulder, may or may not be good by Michigan State
Kapron Lewis-Moore has a calf injury, but it doesn't look serious
Davaris Daniels was having a good game at WR before spraining an ankle. No idea what his time table is.
Ishaq Williams injured his elbow, but doesn't look serious
Sheldon Day came in for injured Kap Lewis-Moore and went out from dehydration, he'll be fine.
Nick Tausch, starting kicker, went down just before the game with an aggravated groin. Backup Kyle Brindza missed one FG, but came up when it counted at the end.

We'll need Lewis-Moore to shut down the MSU running game again next week, if it's possible this year (Held them to 29 yards on 23 carries last year). Tuitt and Nix were great on the defensive line yesterday, but Lewis-Moore's backups are both freshman I believe. Slaughter would be great to have back too as he's the leader of a young and inexperienced secondary. I also expect MSU to load the box and shut down the run as Purdue did, make the young Golson throw the ball again.
