I, frankly, don't care if Henton solicited a prostitute. I dont see the real "crime" in this "crime" anyway. That's simply my opinion, and I don't expect any one to agree. But, some folks are talking like Henton's Public Enemy Number One, and that's absurd. And.... as I said... right now, all he's done is been ACCUSED of a crime. I think it'd be best if - and of course, this is why the following has become a bit of a joke around here - we wait and see how it plays out...
I agree with what you said. I've never really understood why prostitution is illegal anyway. Who the hell cares? The only people that care are those that feel that they have some right to push their thoughts and beliefs onto everyone else, and in this country, we have a ton of self righteous holier than thou prudes like that.
Sex is a personal issue between a man and a woman, or a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, or a man and a woman and her sister, etc etc. People should just mind their own business and let everyone else mind theirs. I can honestly say that I couldn't care less about some guy I've never met paying some girl I've never met to have sex with him. There happens to be many places in this world (some even in this country) where prostitution isn't illegal. What gives?
As a citizen of Ohio, it really pisses me off that my tax dollars are being spent to pay the salaries of undercover police officers who spend their work days or nights trying to entice some dude into soliciting them for a so-called illegal sex act. I'm sure these officers are only doing what they are told to do but I just can't help but wonder who the heck's in charge and why are they wasting the public's tax dollars in this manner.
Aren't there any more serious crimes out there that these police officers could be working on? Like for instance, crimes that actually have a
VICTIM associated with them. It's just one small example of waste by our state and local governments. Someday the people that pull the strings in this country might actually get a clue. Today... is not that day unfortunately.
Enough of my ranting. On a lighter note, here's a quote from Mr. George Carlin.
"I can't understand why it's illegal to sell something that is perfectly legal to give away. Selling is legal. F#%ing is legal. Why isn't selling f#%ing legal?"
Good question George.
Antonio, we have laws in this country and they have to be adhered to. Even the stupid ones. Best of luck to you. Learn your lessons and move forward. I am a Buckeye fan and I'm happy to have you as a Buckeye!
Go Bucks!!!!
