I'm not saying I want Matta gone, never have, but to believe that there aren't more than a few other coaches in college basketball that could do a better job than him at OSU right now is wrong and shows how little you know about other coaches and programs. Unlike some people that like to act tough and talk like they are smarter than everyone else, I realize many other college coaches are doing more the last couple of years with less recruiting power. He can have great teams again, but the program is the epitome of average right now and if you are happy having an average team every year, you are in the minority and you will not save anyone's job if average performance continues. I'm not saying it will continue, but for it to get as bad as it has, it reflects very negatively on Matta & his staff's coaching and recruiting acumen.

He isn't thinking clearly then.

His career has gone nowhere since he got canned with the Kings staff.
And barring a near miraculous turnaround we aren't going to be promoting an assistant from within.
We should be able to attract a HC who has a proven track record of being an NCAA HC.

Aren't you the poster that thought Mickey Mitchell was the second coming of Christ? I could be mistaken, but that's the impression I had.
